So how did it go in the regular season? I was too late to get into Armorama's game, but I did manage to get into another league. I forgot to check on the latest scores after Monday and I just found out I won my division, and I'm number 2 seed for the playoffs. Even better the team I'm playing hasn't changed their lineup in weeks, even though they have Donovan McNab at QB and Clinton Portis as RB, both on IR. I just might have a shot at going all the way, which is probably more than my Broncos can say.

Roger.

From my point of view regular season has gone well. As a first timer and a limey i have made the playoff's - along with Bob Kerr, Robert Cullum and Scott Thompson.

Best Perfromance was Bob Kerr who finished 8-4-1 all others in playoffs were 8-5.

I've really enjoyed taking part, and now we have highlights on free to air satelite via the Five US channel i can keep a bit better informed.

Good luck in the playoffs

Shaun, you guys let some "limey" (I'm half Limey so I guess it's ok for me to use this slang) who thinks a "football" is some round ball beat you? Shame, shame, shame. :-) :-) :-) :-)

Good luck to all the winners in the playoffs.

Way to go, Rodger! Good luck in your playoffs! Try to get in on our fun and games again next year.

Of course, my tie was with Shaun in week 10 -- first it said I won, then it said he won, then it said we tied ... gotta love those score adjustments.

But it made me top seed! Which means everyone is gunning for me.

That's OK -- we have two weeks per playoff game, so we can make "halftime" adjustments. Plus, Andy has been just plain lucky.

Personally, I'm more worried about the Division 2 playoff between the Goats and Sharks -- they both have put up some big points lately.

If I can hold off Andy's Kestrels, I'll have my hands full.

Bob

LUCK!!!!! :-) :-) :-) :-)
Just remember, If i hadn't left my WR/RB slot empty in Week 3 (typical beginners mistake - always need to check team on friday after carrying out transfers and drops) I would have finished top seed at 9-4.

May the best team win over the next two weeks.

Darnit, when I saw the title here I thought you meant the Armorama Premier League Fantasy Football, not the mock-Rugby that you guys play!

BTW - It's not called 'soccer' - it's Association Football

Why do you have to go there? We Americans have our football, the rest of the world can have their's. If you don't like our game, stay out of it. I never come rip on your silly game in your soccer threads. Leave our silly game alone here.

My appologies if it came over that harshly Bob - it was meant to be tongue-in-cheek. Perhaps I should have put a smilie in there too.

My main defence is that I'd been forced to sit through two episodes of NCIS followed by CSI with my fingers in my ears 'cos my headphones are bust; and wasn't in a particularly pro-American mood at the time.

hehe -- That's only the first half of the game and you still have the Dallas D/ST, but I doubt they will do much against New Orleans. Unless things go horribly wrong next week, I think I have you, my friend.

It's too close to call between the Goats and the Sharks.

Dave: No hard feelings. I just get sick of the U.S. vs. the world "football" debate. We can still agree that we both love Shermans of any flavor.

I'll just keep loving Larry Johnson, Todd Heap. the San Diego defense and Brett Favre (though I am very tempted to start Hasselbeck this week vs. San Francisco). Willis McGahee has also come back strong after almost being left for dead.

In fantasy football, the guys on teams on-the-bubble or out of the playoff hunt are often the most dangerous. Look for teams that have clinched to bench starters for the last game or two to save them for the playoffs. Except for the Chargers' D/ST and Todd Heap, my starters are on desperate or out-of-the-hunt teams ... very dangerous.

Well I killed in week 1 of the playoffs, 92 to 26. Of course my opponent played McNab and Portis, and had two other guys who playet but got no points. I think I'll make it to the final game, but the team I will probably be facing has Rivers, Tomlinson, Julius Jones and "How's your mama" Housmandzadeh! They scored 124 points last week.

I don't know if it's worse to leave people in who are injured and can't play, or to pick people who play and just score no points - or a defence who score -6!!!

All in all i've loved playing this this year, and hope there's room for a limey in the league next year. And the people i bore at work who only like Soccer hope there's not room for me:)

I got the proverbial ball rolling last season and Bob was good enough to jump start the league this year.
It really is fun and gives you a good reason to keep up with the scores.

What I like best is that it forces you to pay attention to players and teams that you may not hear much about through regional coverage.

The tough part is when you have a situation (like I have this week) where one or more of your favorite offensive players is up against your defensive unit. Sunday, I hope Larry Johnson runs all over San Diego, but that the Chargers collect a few turnovers (but not from Larry). My wife will think I'm nuts when I watch the Chiefs game this week.

By the way, I have perfected the art of modelling during ball games -- I do everything during the commercials and halftime.

I'm with you as far as being torn when I have somebody on a team that is playing the Broncos. A couple weeks ago when the Chargers played the Broncos it really hurt to have the Chargers D, when all the time I was hoping Smith, Bell, and Walker would light them up like a Christmas tree. To add insult to injury not only did the Chargers won, but they didn't even score enough points with their D for me to win that week. Plus I love having Manning as QB, as far as fantasy, even though I'm personally getting sick of seeing and hearing about the guy.

Well, the first round of the playoffs is complete -- Andy came back strong this week, but not enough to overcome his deficit.

It looks like my KC FullMetalJacket is going back to the big game, this time vs. Robert Cullum's Acworth Armor Sharks. With players like LaDainian Tomlinson and Marvin Harrison, plus the mighty Bears defense, he is a formidable opponent.

Will the KC FMJ repeat as the Armorama FFL champions? It could be a struggle. Stay tuned, sports fans ...

It was way closer than i thought it would be - but you still had the better of me by quite a way.

Good luck in the Final - i'm gonna be trying for the No 3 spot

It would be blasphemous if a non-American wins this.

But a good fight, Andy! I'm sure my helpful hints helped you along.

Dang, where is Cullum from? Acworth? Where is that?

Georgia. (The United State, not the country.)

Crikey! He's a fan of the Useless Nuts (Ohio State) and the Dallas Cowpies as well. Hmmmm ... how come the only Cowpie on his team is benched?

Ack! A tie???? As of Sunday night we are tied 152-152. I hope they adjust the score and we can pick a true winner! McGahee's 23 yards = 2?
