Welcome Tom
I must brag about the positive aspect of Armorama.com. The people here are first rate, I have had nothing but positive experiences here.

If you can't get an answer here then there probably isn't an answer to the question.

Welcome, Tom. I've gotten back into the hobby myself, and had tons of questions. The vast majority were answered right here. I think you'll find the people here willing and able to help you out. As for repaying the favors, I'd just try to help someone else out, if you can. You might not be able to at first, but there will come a time, believe me. I think that's all anyone here would want. The purpose of this site is to enjoy our hobby, learn from people more experienced, and to help others when possible. Glad your back - what's your first project?

Glad to hear you're back in the hobby !
Armorama has the nicest, most down to earth group of people on the net, and a damn fine bunch of modelers to boot. Welcome home.

Hi Tom and welcome

I have only been a member here for a short while, but i have to agree with the others that this is a tremendous group of people. Their depth ofknowledge is limitless, and I reckon you will not find a question that cannot be answered by someone on this site.

Good luck with the building

Welcom, Tom. Building in the courtyard sounds so great! Then I think of all the time I've spent on the floor looking for that tiny part that flew off the sprue and disappeared on tne concrete floor of my workshop and being outside doesn't seem so inviting. #:-)

I've seen a product which you can duplicate pretty easily with a few clamps (cloths pins).
Its a modelers bib. You tie it around your neck then velcro it to the edge or your work surface. The bib will catch any dropped items before they hit the floor. This would be vary easy to duplicate with a sheet a couple of cloths pins to clamp to the work surface and maybe a piece or two to string to tie around your waste or neck.
Now this won't help with all acts of tweezer launch, just the ones that fall between you and the bench. If the tweezer launch goes behind the bench you're in trouble with this solution.

Howdy Tom !

Everyone here is pretty cool, and helpful Except maybe for that Selrach fella... I hear he likes to paint pink uniforms on his g.i. figures... So keep an eye out for him.

wait... that's me #:-) Nevermind.

What sort of models do you like?

Hi Tom, yes I've found this place to be pretty helful to me to, I just got here myself not long ago, but they have been real helpful on a lot of things, it took me a while before I found this place, that it wasn't until I found the forum part I decided to stay, armor has always interested me, and now with the help from the people from here I am working on my first armor, and hope many more, and wish you the same.

To Tom and Mike and ...

This is Armorama. This is a GOOD use of the Internet. This is people to people worldwide. But, your thanks, while heartfelt, should be extended to the selfless folks that keep this site running.

My hat is off to all of you that help me and to those who make it possible.

No happy faces here, just add my sincere gratitude.
