Love this vehicle. You have done a beautiful job as always. One big question, What was or is this vehicle used for? I have no idea and any info is appreciated. Teach me oh master

OK---question time is open ....
Dave ..Centurion Beach Armoured Recovery Vehicle

-
--used to recover "swamped"vehicles on beach landings and for pushing off landing craft that have beached to unload --can push up to 120 tons ---move in 9 feet of water...........now being fazed out in favour of new "Hippo"

(my scratch build "Hippo"from pics)

Finished --this going to REME Museum at Arborfield

Hmm, Interesting Steve!
Have the British Forces anything left that can be pushed out?
Or even anything that can come ashore?

Steve,Although tracked thingys "are'nt my cuppa tea" I must admit the Beach Bathtubs do have a certain appeal
. Nice build.Question time - what chassis doe's the "Hippo" use ?
Suggestion time ! - ever considered using basswood instead of balsa ?, personally I think it has a more realistic grain and appearance. Anyways just a thought.
