I read the book months ago, and Angels & Demons a while after Da Vinci Code.... honestly I enjoyed A&D more, but maybe that's because I've read The Holy Blood & The Holy Grail and saw the similarities...

Diverting the discussion a bit, Holy Blood and Holy Grail is a great book to read once you know something about what Berenger Sauniere probably did and didn't do.
Then it's a wonderful (or possibly woefull) example of what happens when you throw all critical faculties to the wind. How on earth could Baigent and co. ever have taken Pierre Plantard seriously??????
Basically the Rennes le Chateau myth surfaced in the 50s as a treasure story and successive 'researchers' (term used generously) have run with the ball ever since up some very strange alleyways.
