hey

what is the best background colour (blue,black,brown etc) for taking a pic of your model.

Blue tends to give it the best look IMHO however white does a fantastic job too.

A blue background makes it easy to correct the colors in Photoshop or similar programs. White background reflects the natural light better. John Steinmans post should be very usefull.

For me it would depend on what I was photographing. If for example I where taking a picture of a white-washed tiger, I probably wouldn't use a while background. On the other hand if I were taking a photo of a NAVY destroyer, blue may not be the best choice.

Maybe it depends on personal taste. I use different backgrounds for my models. Many use blue (probably an all around background) , but you can also use black (works best for aircrafts), and neutral grey (works best when white is the dominant color).
