That is an INCREDIBLE amount of work isn't it? People seem to have got a little more ambitious with Lego in the last 30 years... :-)

Wow that is quite impressive. Just doesnt give the same look and feel as the scale models by the likes of Revell and Tamiya though.
It probably is considered scale modelling but of a different type if i may call it that.

Whats really cool about it is, it breaks up to sections... amazing.

What's even more incredible is how whoever got most of the colors correct since LEGOs come in a wide assortment of colors. Whoever must've special-ordered these bricks from LEGO to get the correct color.

I took one look and started giggling, then LOL! :-) :-) Just insanely impressive.Would have been cheaper to buy Trumpeter kit and commission a bunch to do the interior.
Oh BTW, I thought I saw a man overboard in one of the pics! :-) :-) :-)
cheers!

Very impressive indeed! Any idea how much it cost to build this beast?

Actually I'm pretty sure those are 8"x8" tiles. I did flooring installation for about 7 years and they look pretty familiar. Still extremely impressive. I have bought my nephew legos before from wal mart and it must have cost a lot of bananas.

That is pretty awesome but that person has way too much money or parents with way too much money. But I'm going to assume this was a professional on commission.
I used to lego and once you got one aircraft built, you could just pop them out like nothing. I'd bet the hull was the hardest part since there is little repetition.

Woah.....while looking over the pics the lego ad theme as I remembered it, "one block builds another one, another one builds another one, its a new toy everyday" kept playing in my mind.
I'll bet the builder must have had this theme song playing in his mind when he started his first block. I remember as a kid one of the best part of building something with lego was destroying it afterwards once I was bored. Well.....there will be no dismantling/destroying this baby.

totally awesome!
lego actually employs many people to build things like this. most have archetecture degrees i've heard. apparently there have even been a few master's degrees in archetecture with Lego layouts and buildups as part of the master's dissertation in order to be competitive for getting one of these highly sought after jobs. once upon a time i had even considered it...

Do a google search for "Bloccad".
It is a virtual lego block program you can use to make things out of lego blocks. Its quite fun.
