I have 21 kits in my stash waiting to be built. My wife always freaks out about how many I have waiting. It's almost like my hobby is more buying kits than building them! I was curious as how many you have waiting in your stash to be built and if you get much flak from your spouse for it?

I dont have as many as some, but more than i will build anytime soon.

I've got about half a dozen full resin kits, approx 20 plastic kits, a dozen resin conversions. 30 or so resin and white metal figures, a dozen sets of plastic figures.

21 ????? That's the number I have on the bookcase in the front room

And at least another 100 (minimum) elsewhere. SWMBO isn't too bothered as long as they don't interfere with her clothing collection

I have:
50+ AFV and softskins
10+ Arty pieces
30+ 120mm Figures
20+ Busts of various sizes
40+ 54mm Airfix figures
30+ boxes of 1/35 plastic figs (mostly dragon some tristar and Tam.)
400 + boxes of Resin 1/35 figures (Im addicted)
100+ of whitemetal various scale figures.
a handful of 1/9 and 1/15 figures.
2 large boxes of aftermarket stuff.

Way, way too many. I sold off 10 AFV kits recently on Ebay but I just can't seem to part with any more.

I'm past caring about how much I spent - at least I'll have something to build when I retire
Hell I even just grab a beer and go and dig through stash every now and then - before I realize it I have been in the garage for 1.5 hours!!!

I have got about 15 un-made boxes, including figure boxes, 4 vehicles that have been started and about 8 Dio 's all in boxes for time being until I get some selving in the garage. I have to like most married blokes hide them from the missus. I think she would be supprised on how many I actaully have.

I have been collecting since 1977--I have lost track of the actual number of unbuilt kits--probably around 2500-3000 though. My wife doesnt say anything about them except that I could be spending money on a lot worse things. I should do an inventory and make an actual count and maybe sell some of the older stuff on Ebay or something. I do have most of them in labeled boxes and have them listed on my pc--thats why I got into the pc in the first place.

Well...it looks like I have about 621. Kind of scary really. If there was ever a fire, the area would be declared a toxic waste dump and totally uninhabital.

Hey Guys, After about 5 years I have 250 to 300 unbuilt and 50 or so built. SWMBO doesn't care, considering that the scrapbooking ribbon that the cat ate cost $1000 to diagnose and fix, her hobby is more expensive than mine.

I just started modeling again almost a year ago but already have 3 AFVs, 2 Planes, 2 figure kits, and 2 civilian vehicle from the last time I was modeling. (Probably have more once I find them)

I also have 1 ship and 2 figure kits I’m currently working on if they count.

I have approximately 50 kits in my stash. AFV's car's and figure's. At my current building rate, my stash should be reduced to zero in about 8 years, assuming I don't buy new ones, which I naturally will.

My wife doesn't complain much about it. Yet.

A couple of hundred, mainly 1/72 aircraft but also 1/144 aircraft, 1/35 armour, 1/700 ships and 1/24 cars with about 10 1/48 aircraft.

1/144 is my new scale... boxes are smaller :-) can buy more
Also they take up less room on the shelf.

I have about 100 planes (13 of Corsairs alone), two or three ships, about 15 cars, 8-9 1/35 vehicles. I had more kits, but last year I sold perhaps the half of them, as I realized I would never build them. As for figures, I have again 100+ 54mm figures, and at least a thousand 28mm gaming miniatures. My greatest problem was/is that I always work in other cities or even countries than my home, so I have only limited time to build and paint.

somewhere around 40 to 50 stashed on various top closet shelves where the wife don't look..........

I don't think its a lot untill I realize I only build about 5 or 6 a year and have only been in the hobby for 5 years now..

go figure..
