John just called to say the tests showed he was cancer free! He and his wife had just finished a celebratory feast of sacrificial cattle and he's in, understandably, great spirits. Everything went well for him.

OMG, I didn't even see this post before. Thank you Al and friends! I have to tell you, Al was the first person that I called right after I found out that I was cancer free in the colon, throat and stomach. I was sitting in a relatively new restaraunt in the town that Al lives in and yes, prime rib was on my plate. I was starved, it was 24 hours since I last ate, I was still pretty doped up on Demeral, the doctor and the nurses couldn't believe that I was still awake. Heh, I lived through the 70's, they'd have to hit me harder than that to knock this kid out, and I was a sailor in the US Navy. I was absolutely terrified to shut my eyes and fall into that deep deep sleep. I've only been getting about 3 hours of sleep a night for the last 3 or 4 months.
To make a long story short, I still have issues, its not cancer, but I'm loaded with ulcers and barrett's disease, all caused by acid reflux eating away at my throat and stomach linning. Both of which can turn into cancer at any point so I'll have to go through this every 6 months to a year.
Thank you all for the well wishes, I seriously believe that the members of Armorama are truely family.
Regards,
Jb

Great news John
The great evil that is cancer has taken a few of my family members and almost got my father a couple years ago.
Glad to see you dodged that bullet.
Cheers to you.
I shall hoist an ale in celebration.
