Got a closet filled with kits
and as bench full of projects
but the inspiration
is gone

Everytime I want to start building
I got this real tired feeling
and I don't build anymore
No, I don't build anymore

I've got the
modellers blues (yeah)
Oooh, I've got the
modellers blues (tadadaduh..)

All my paints dried up
and the glue is hard as stone
Oh, what must I do now?
My inspiration is gone...

Do I sell it all
for a few darn bucks?
Or just throw it all away
Man this sucks...

I've got the
modellers blues (yeah)
Oooh, I've got the
modellers blues (tadadaduh..)

I' don't finish
any more campaign
When comes the pleasure back?
Why do I feel this pain?

I've got the
modellers blues (yeah)
Oooh, I've got the
modellers blues (tadadaduh..)

MAN THIS SUCKS!!!

Paul

I have had that feeling a few times too.

Take a break - go read books or catch the latest movies (or for me spend more time with the wife and kids) maybe even take a break from checking our here.

Then return here and just watch for a while and get some inspiration. Then next thing you know you will be back into it agains with a fresh outlook.

It has worked for me.

Matt, Brian,

Thanks guys!
Yes I'll put the brake on modelling for some time, perhaps thats a good idea...
I know I'm not the only one suffering from the modellers depression, but it's the first time it strikes me this hard...

Take care!

Maybe a change of subject would help. I made amost exclusively armour & softskins (with just a few planes & figures for variety) for about 5 years and eventually got to the stage earlier this year where I didn't pick up a kit for a couple of months. I now make & paint mostly figures again ( this was my main focus as a teenager) and am currently working on an aircraft - and enjoying it!

Great lyrics btw Paul!

Hi Paul...

But first

Quoted Text

One word......... PROZAC!

:-) :-) :-) :-) killer...still laughing.

er...hmmmmm... clears throat ...
Paul don't fret, it happens to us all...just do something else or just do 'nowt' and be patient and it'll come back sooner or later probably when you least expect it.

Note God you must have it bad...you must have been really bored to pen that ditty...
"Sucks" is right :-) :-) :-) :-)

Cheer up you could always go and have a root canal done just to take your mind off it.

Hope you find the inspiration soon.

Cheers
Peter

succes!!

Hi Paul!

Maybe you should buy a guitar...

Better yet...build one :-)

I've had modeler's blues many of times. It sort of comes and goes. It is just part of life so accept it and embrace it. It is good to take a brake now and then and do other things. Inspiration will come back. I guarantee it.
