Just curious who's rooting for who?

Me...look where I am posting from and you'll see my bias . Either way though, it should be a hell of a game .

Since I hope for the Broncos to actually get somewhere this year I'm rooting for the Pats. The Colts are great, but they've beaten teams with a combined recored of 19 and 38. Only one team the Colts have beatern has a winning record, Jacksonville at 5/3. The Pats have played teams with a combined record of 36 and 22, and all three losses have been to winning teams. Let's see if the Colts are as good as they, and everybody else, think they are against a good team.

Going to the next game, Sunday vs the Texans. Look for the Shoes to be 9-0.

GO COLTS!!!!!! My brother in law in Cincinatti has season tix, and he has invited me to attend the game in two weeks against the Bungals. 9-0 vs 8-2, should be a good game. I will hate to see the Bungals fans bubble get busted though LOL

OK guys, rub it in. Have your moment of glory.

I am not making any excuses here but if Pats were healthy, Colts would have been 7-1 right about now.
This was Manning's first, and so far only :-) win in Foxboro so I don't think he owns anything or anybody just yet.

I will give Colts the props though. They are a tough and fast team. Them seem to be one of the best contenders this year.

Come on Martin. It has been nine years since the Colts won in Foxboro. We are entitled to a little rubbing.
I think the addition of Corey Simon helped the Colts as much as anything.

The Colts have to play the Pats at Foxboro again next year. Three road games in a row against the same team? What the heck is up with that?

First of all, unlike Marty I will not concede. Was it just me or did anyone else see the injured list put on the screen somewhere around the first or second quarter? Next, Peyton Manning ought to be ashamed that he threw an Int against the weakest secondary in the league. Guess who didn't throw an Int last night against an entirely healthy Def? Oh, and next year somebody's gonna get a beat down, and it isn't the Pats. In final closing, Peyton reminds me more and more of Marino, a man with good skills but can't handle pressure and will never get a ring. I have to agree with the experts, Brady looks more and more like Montana everyday. 8-0 against some horrible teams means nothing. Even the experts say NE had the toughest schedule this year (all division winners). The Colts would have been the laughing stock of the league last night if they lost. So, I'm not angry just annoyed.

Go Pats! Oh, and one last thing, 3 out of 4 ain't bad baby!

Ian,

Injuries are part of the game. Look at Da Bears. Do you think they were planning on starting a rookie they drafted in the 4th round at QB? (Go Boilers). McCallister and Bettis are (were) both injured for the Blitzberg but Willie Parker stepped up. Weren't the Pats the team that had the beat up secondary last year and still won a title? Just sayin'
As far as the pick goes, Manning has 14 TD passes, 6 picks and 70% completion percentage. Manning is throwing one interception for every 40 attempts.
The Colts beat the Pats because the Pats couldn't run the ball against the Colts defense. 34 yards rushing isn't going to get it done. The Colts defense is tied for first in the league with the Bears at 12.3 points per game. Pats are allowing 27.5 and are rank 30th.
The Pats have only two games left on their schedule against teams with winning records, the Chiefs @ 5-3 and the Bucs @ 5-3. The Colts have 5; Bengals @ 7-2, Steelers @ 6-2, Jags @ 5-3, Chargers @ 5-4, Seahawks @ 6-2...
Colts have the tough part of their schedule coming up. I wish the Colts played the Phins and Jets four times in their last 8 games.

Shaun, if you are refering to Duce McCallister(plays for the saints not " Blitzberg"), I believe the name you are looking for is Duce Staley. And the loss of two halfbacks has nowhere near the impact of the loss of ten defensive starters, two offensive linemen, and two halfbacks. You're absolutely right, the Pats can't run the ball. And last year's Pats team had nowhere near the injuries like this year. The Bengals are a joke(lost to Jax). Look at the first 3/4 of the Pat's schedule, no one had to deal with all those entirely healthy and winning teams. I know injuries are a part of sports I've sprained two ankles, have two mallet fingers, and tore my ACL and MCL plus cartelidge in my right knee playing baseball (1 year surgery and rehab, and I'm still not cleared to play sports yet). You can't be upset that I feel that this obsessive praising of Peyton for a total of zero super bowl victories is ridiculous. Call me up when the Colts win the big one :-) .

P.S. I'm not trying to come off as angry, it's just friendly competition. Read the quote in my signature.

Your right Ian, I meant Staley. I had McCallister on my fantasy team and it killed me when he went out so I have McCallister on the brain...
I think the Jacksonville game is the toughest the Colts have left on their schedule. I don't think the Bengals are as good as their record either.
Enjoying the conversation,

Shaun
