Since my other half has been collecting anything with a Coke logo for the past 20 years, and drinks it almost all day long, I thought I'd stick in her 2 cents. For me, though, either 7-UP or Gatorade (sorry, guys, nothing personal).

Three answers

COKE, DIET COKE and DIET VANILLA COKE.

Unfortunately, I can't get the Diet Vanilla around here anymore. I only get to have it when I'm travelling on business.

Coke, preferably with a nice dark rum in it. Unfortunately the Doc said I need to cut down on cafiene. Cafiene free Coke really sucks so I have to go with things like Sprite or Root Beer.

I normally used to drink diet Coke. My wife laughs about this but about this time every year I start to have a craving for the real Real Think, regular Coke. I know why, all the holliday adds when I was a kid showing Coke and Santa Clause. To me this totally proves the power of advertising. Christmas comes along, and I start to want to change my drinking habits just because of advertising.

I used to drink Pepsi, but I have switched to diet coke.

no more Quebec breakfasts (apologies to my Quebecois brethren but it's something from the Ottawa valley........pepsi and jos. louis) for me. I do however still enjoy poutine.

Pepsi! I find Coke too sweet. Nothing beats Gatorade to quench thirst though.

Given that Pepsi pulled out in the dark old days, most South African's grew up drinking Coca-Cola products. Although Pepsi is now canned/bottled in Namibia and brought across the border, it takes alot to dislodge an institution...

Coca-Cola is rated in SA's top 20 companies every year...

So I guess my answer is COKE! :-)

Coke, but it should be Swedish coke or at least from northern Europe. German coke for example taste bitter compared with the Swedish one and we should not even talk about the French one... I guess it´s because of the water, not as much chemicals in it here in the north.

This is very true... In SA we have a few coca-cola factories/bottling plants (whatever) and you can notice the taste difference between the areas... it's the same with some of the local beer brands.... they taste different depending on the water in the area it is bottled in...

Hi there

My uncle in Canada always recommended Coke to clean the drains and last week we used some Coke at work to descale the sink - that also worked a treat! I can't comment on Pepsi because I haven't tried it.

Seeing what Coke does down domestic plumbing - I wouldn't want to drink either of them, but maybe they'd work for stripping old paint off models...

All the best

A friend of mine once had a transmission problem in his car about 1000 miles from home. A repair shop recommended he put a can of Coke into the tranny. Something about the sugar in the Coke turning to carbon to seal a leak. He made it home just before the tranny blew up.

The urban myth busting site Snopes.com has a whole section on Coke Lore.

You guys are crazy . These drinks (correct me if i'm wrong , it's a few years since my childhood ) are lolly water meant for kids . Diluting alcohol with them is criminal & a waste of good spirits . :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)
THE ANSWER IS
BEER !!!!!!!!!!!!! As far as " rooting " for it , I personally don't , but I know a few ladies who do ( this last bit is only understandable from fellow aussies , I'm sure ) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)
