HI everyone! I suscribed to the site a while ago, but i´ve not taken the time to introduce myself. I´m Klaus Eberl, Officer of the Chilean Navy. I´ve been modelling for almost 12 years, with lots of interruptions (Thanks Navy! )It´s funny , but my main interest in modelling is Modern Armor, mostly German, British, my own country of course (Chile), USA, and so on.......and i like the "what if" subject, too. Hope to learn a lot of new things here and make more web friends.

Welcome to Armorama, Klaus
Nice to see a Navy Officer modeling armour. Well, I am an Army Officer and have just bought my first Carrier model, so there you go.
Cheers

Welcome to the best modelling site on the www Klaus.
Im also dealing mainly armor even though i was a bridging engineer in the army. Fell in love with the tanks i supported, i ended up building them.

Hi Klaus,
good to hear that there are others like me in Santiago/Chile. Myself I moved from Austia to Chile 4 years ago and took up modelling again (not much else to do during a weekend in Santiago).
Do you know of any group builds here in Santiago?
Regards
Bernd

Hi Bernd, nice to hear about you, and better that you´re from Austria (my backround is from there, though I don´t speak german :-) ), I got confused with your spelling, :-) just a joke.
Well, there are a few good places in Santiago.
If you are in downtown, you can go to:
Berlin Hobbies
Jugueteria Alemana
They sell mostly Italeri and Revell of Germany, Tamiya, Academy, Zvezda....... I´ll send you a private message m with the adresses.
If you are in Las Condes or near, you can go to Mirax, in Apumanque Shopping Center. It´s the biggest store in Santiago, so you can find almost everything you want in kits, but only few thing in aftermarket and dioramas. Also, in Las Condes you can find in Mall Sport Shopping Center another store from Jugueteria Alemana, but is most orientated to trains and stuff like that. But you can find armor, planes and ships as well.
From Internet, you can buy from www.solomaquetas.com, www.mirax.cl and www.hobbyexpress.cl. All of them are from Chile and are safe and fast enough..
Well, hope that these info will be helpful for you. If you need more info, let me know by private message or e-mail me.
Bye and best regards.
