Armorama Benelux rides again,

9 of us attended the KMK Scaleworld 2005 in Mol (Belgium)

KMK is the cub where known modelers like Marijn van Gils, Geert Mertens, Pascal Tognon and Rudi Meir have their homebase, so quality to see

I had a blast and have gotten the modeling itch again

Here are the first batch of pictures, a report will folow

The gallery

The Armorama Gang

The competition tables

A section of the club/vendor stands

And the main vendor place (lots to see lots to buy not enough cash

All,

Again we had a great time. There where more members present than the 9 members on the picture. I guess that in total some 15 or 16 Armorama members joined at this great event.

I added my pics to the gallery that Ronny Created and.... one that I'm pretty fond of is woth posting over here

Guys from the KMK : Thanks for the hospitality

Again you organized a great event !!

And to the Armorama gang : Thanks for another great time guys !!

And to Ronny : Thanks for showing up my friend... it was really good to see you again...and don't worry... the modeling virus will catch you again ...just give it time to invade you !!

Wow...nice job guys! Excellent photos too. It looks like there was an impressive showing this year. Was it bigger than last year?

Is that a cake on the banner in one shot?? :-)

And is the thumbs up award one we sponsored or one that someone from our group won?

Cheers,
Jim

Yep this is the award for best OTB that whe had sponsord, but I don't know who won it, I had to leave before the award ceremony

Yep, it is a cake :-)

And this is the chef

We decided (hehehe) that this would be a new feature on every upcoming event, a cake in the chape of a tank, next time a Tiger tank witch ambush cheme

We call this interactive modeling, not only feeling and smelling but also tasting

Yup, it was a bigger event than the previous years and.... the modeling standard was very very high.

In the Benelux Community forums we just started talking about new namebadges and new shirts.... it would add so much when visitors would recognize us as a team. We had 16 members or so cruising the event... it would have quite an impact when we all would wear the same shirts. The Blue shirts from KMK, the White shirts from Band of Modelers, the Black Shirts of Modelbouwclub Lier and the Armorama ...[pick a color]... shirts. I think we should pick a colour that is quite unique....

Yup the KMK event gave it a boost for sure !!

Pink? The pink modelers??? :-) :-)

Just kidding

Whatever you do, do not let Robert (Faust) pick the colors, the purpose is to gain members, not scare them away

Hey all ya´ll,

you´re very quick in uploading these pics...

I´ve (together with "Modellbaufreunde Siegen)had a great time too. Actually we were sitting right across the isle of the Armorama stand...and at some point I almost grapped me a piece of that fantastic looking cake!!!
But don´t worry. I would never ever do so without asking.
Thanks to all the guys at KMK for a great show!!

Greetz

Re: Shirts... I need to get the store setup properly but I have an account for Armorama with Spreadshirt and they are based in the UK with also French, German, and US locations. The shipping should be a lot more affordable for you guys in Europe vs. CafePress.

How about safety yellow?

Hello everybody,
I've been at Mol and had a great day too. Thanks to everyone who made this event to what it was. I was surprised to meet so many guys from Big A.
I'll like to share my pic's, but i can't upload pictures to
the directory. I have no category Event photos or sub to choose. What am i doing wrong?

Cheers

Ola Guys

The KMK Scaleworld was great again this year. A big thanks to the Organisation of the KMK for making this possible again and for giving armorama a 10 meter table.
It Was a really fun day and my wallet got some heavy losses. :-) :-) :-) :-)

Well 4 people talking in 1 thread about my shirts.... should there be a hint of effectiveness in the Carribean clothing choice????? :-) :-) :-) :-) ........
Thanks for the comments guys...

This was indeed the Armorama best OOTB 2005 Award (it read the some on the plaque. I let it made 2 days before the event because I thought it was a nice thing to do and the guys at the KMK were thinking that too. :-) :-) :-)
This was the model Judged by me Juul and Danny being the Best OOTB for Armorama.

Sadly I kinda missed the winner as The KMK handed it out themselves. If I know more about this I will let you know.

A Brilliant day with nice guys and terrific models.

Good choice...Safety-Yellow has my vote!!

It was a funday last sunday at the KMK-scaleworld 2005!! Even my wife was happily surprised by the friendly atmosphere among the ArmoramA members...

She actually liked Faust's shirt! So there are more people with a strange taste!

@ Roadkill: It was good to see you again, my friend. Glad you showed up!!

I think I would go for that too. It`s bright and easy to spot...... Maybe a really fancy wild design on it :-) :-)

Aaaaaah common guys who can stand the charmes of a design shirt with a really nice jungle motive and on the cutout of a staffmap the image of as Volkswagen Schwimmwagen.... Strange taste maybe.... dull taste........ NO!!
