barv,
What a great bit of work you've been doing! I love your scratchbuilding projects!
I have one comment and one question. I don't even know if you want comments or not, but I'll give ya mine anyway. :-) The mesh you put on is horizontal, but it looks like the mesh in the picture at the top of the thread runs in a diagonal pattern...just a thought. Also, what did you use for the latches on the boxes?
Everything's looking great so far! Nice work! And please excuse me if my comments are out of place. You definitely are one of the best scratch builders I've ever seen.

...Mesh was all that was in box....not enough to "slant".....would have to have stretched it out of shape to be "actual"..... Found some "xpm" in a packet to-day .... ..isit worth cutting the frames off and re-building The "brown" catches are shaved from the kit ...the others are scrap blocks--to be tidied -up later ... or cut and mould some (need 24 for next diggy-thing)
..Comments are always welcome
More pics soon...

Oh. Okay. I thought it was something that you had made yourself and would just want to know about. I often times use pieces that I know don't look quite right, but they came with the kit, so what the heck! Looking great though. I wish I had your skill and patience.

Just great. I''ve been there a few years ago, and I just feel my fingers tingle to start scratchbuilding again. I don't much like the original diggity thing, but that's just a matter of taste. Your model will be just wonderful. When I'm through refurbishing and remodeling this home, I'"ll re-install my scratchbuilding table and equipment. THat won't be for the next year, I'm affraid. But as I said... my fingers start tingling again.
Keep going at this !
