Three bomb blasts last night at the Egyptian resort town of Sharm-El-Sheikh. So far 83 dead and 200 wounded, most of them Egyptians.

Even we arab moslems suffer from terrorist attacks, but because these bastards CLAIM to be moslems, nobody really cares when it happens here. Most people probably didn't hear about it.

Sorry.. it's just that this sh#t has become too much to bear. The problem is that THEY will never lose. There will alway be some bastard somewhere willing to kill innocent people for his own screwed up reasons. And there will always be somebody somewhere willing to supply him with what he needs. This whole thing is just an absurd no win situation.

Sorry guys, just wanted to get this sh#t off my chest.

I heard about it last night as I was heading out to work, and my prayers go to those injured and those who lost loved ones, from yes "these bastards". I hope you and your family are safe.

There are some that care Hisham. I know many arabs, and count at least one as a good friend. His family are holidaying in Egypt as we speak. I only hope they are safe. It's the nutcases that are doing this, and they can be any race or religion. Stay safe.

I hear you man.

I heard the news on the 5am news. My colleague, Sayed, is also Misri from Alexandria, and we've just finished discussing the incident in my office. He's been spitting words in both English and Arabic which I cannot write here.

Real bad wherever it may happen. Seen a number of those here as well.

Again, many lives were lost because of the mislead minds of some man and/ or women.

I am not a muslim, but I do know that Allah is a god of love, not war.

My sympathies and condolances goes out to anyone who has lost their life in these horrid attacks

I'm with you - I don't blame you for needing to get it off your chest.

I try to understand and I try to see things from both sides but I'm sorry - I Just Don't Get It.

Thanks for your kind words guys. And Vinnie, I hope your friend's family is safe.

It's just stupid. Ever since the unfortunate 9/11 incidents, all these people have done was make people hate the Islamic religion, and make people suspicious of moslems everywhere. I believe this is one of their main goals, which is to drive East an West further apart.. because I believe that when East and West really come together in peace, that will be the demise of these lunatics.

I suppose all we can do is pray.

Hisham, certainly no-one I know is blaming Islam for the recent attacks. One of my daughters schoolmates is from a Moslem family, and thay have been able to show us beyond all doubt that the Koran does not condone this kind of action.
My thoughts are with you.

Hi Hisham,it was with sorrow that heard of the murders in your country, what these brain washed idiots fail to understand is we have all got more in common than that which divides us,we are not all Muslim hating westeners, most of us know the difference between a working man or woman, and a low life.

Hisham,
I care. I hope you and your loved ones are safe. And I pray that this maddness will stop.
You are right, there will always be someone looking for an excuse to hurt others.
But, the rest of us must not let them make us hate each other.
In the words of Regina Preciado:

"Let the unfeeling people adapt
rather than force the tender
people to defend themselves."

Hisham, the world heard. And we all hurt.

It was the first thing I heard on the radio as I was getting coffee. While there are fools, especially those who can hide behind the anonimity of the internet, who would blame all moslims for the fanatics, most of us reallize the extremists are no more representative of Islam than Timothy McVey and Fred Phelps are representative of all Christians. In both cases, the religous leadership should be coming forth and foramally condemming the actions and the people who commit them.

Hisham, as an Irish-American Catholic, I can sympathise with you for the senseless acts of an extreme religeous group. All my life I've heard about what the IRA has done in Britain and N. Ireland and I pray that these "people" come to their senses and realise that violence just doesn't accomplish what they think it will. Your are 100% right. It is utter BULLSH*T!!! And I pray it stops!
As a fellow human, I ask that you keep the faith and hold your head high and declare "I am NOT afraid!" Because the fear in us is what they hope to instill.

Your friend,
Murphy

Again spot on Al. I'm not religious but I do know that people who have a true faith in their God do not carry out acts such as these. I believe that the only way to stop it is, as Al says, is for the religious leadership to stand up and say it is wrong, every time it happens. It was the Irish people in the end who saw off the IRA.
The real evil is those that brainwash the bombers, they are too cowerdly to commit the acts themselves, typical.

Hisham, then these idiots are failing badly. Incidents such as these only unite people against a common enemy, Terrorism!

The only people, who believe that the bombers’ actions have anything to do with Islam, are the bombers and their followers.

Our sympathies and commiseration go out to all who have suffered due to these abominable actions.

Hi Hisham, My prayers are with all those affected by the terrible bombing's in Egypt. I understand that the "Islamic" fanatics do not represent the Islamic religion and its teachings. Islam is quite young in New Zealand in my hometown we have many Somalians who are trying to educate us about their religion. I am very grateful they are trying to bridge the gap that no one else will.

Hisham
As with so many others on this site my heart and prayers go out to your people and to those in England.
" the only way for evil men to triumph is for good men to stand by and do nothing. " My grandfather used to tell us that. " God is not a Christian God, He's not a Jewish God, an Islamic God a Hindu or a Buddist God. He is God of all and this madness must sadden Him."
I believe you are right Hisham. If we stand together, east and west then the terroist will have no power.
I lost friends in both the Twin Towers and the Pentagon on 9/11. My heart goes out to anyone that has had to go through that kind of loss no matter what the nationality or religion.

Hisham,
I did hear about this...and I/we do care! It is a messed up world, I too am very saddend, angered, and frustrated. Who doesn't when their country is attacked by faceless cowards who prevert their thoughts to rationalize the killing of innocent people. It seems twisted to me how I can go from the feelings of anger and wanting to personally deliever a bullet into someones brain, to sorrow and wishing the killing would end. We the human race never seem to remember history... Doesn't most if not all religeon teach that life is a gift to be cherished and not taken.

"Sorry.. it's just that this sh#t has become too much to bear. The problem is that THEY will never lose. There will alway be some bastard somewhere willing to kill innocent people for his own screwed up reasons. And there will always be somebody somewhere willing to supply him with what he needs. You have nothing to be sorry for Hisham, nothing... You just feel the same range of emotion we all go through during these trying times... I would dare to call you friend, brother, my prayers are with you, and your people...

I like you Hisham care-I follow the Christian faith but I do not see that You and I should hate each other- it is definitely not in Jesus teachings and his 3 years of mission and you could show me that neither was it in your Prophets teaching- I had a TV program last night showing all the sides. My own Mum in law came from a very strick christian denomination where they said this and that was wrong but did not care for the Human being under the stereotype- Your country and civilisation is part of our world and something we should all be proud of-Everyone has skeletons in our cupboards-hey the so called Crusades actually killed more "Christians' than muslims- now that is how stupid is this hatred and my Dad rember the Jewish bombers of the forties and in Australia 1 man got a crazy notion which cost the live of 24 people in Tasmania- It has got to stop and by you posting and also myself we show them that Christians and Muslims will care for each other. we have done it before and you and I will show them it shall always be
My Prayers are for you and your loved ones but also for you nation

Hisham,

When I saw the news of the bombings the other night it hurt...Once again innocent people have died at the hands of murderers. Too often this has happened, all around he world.

To me it is not about Islam against Christian against Jew against whatever. No it is very simple- It is a conflict of Good vs. Evil.

We here on the side of good will always have differences...That is understood, but we do not feel that killing people is the solution- maybe find out what we have in common (this hobby for example) and enjoy that or maybe just more live and let live. We're different, so what- no problem!

In the end Good will triumph, of that I am sure. Until we get to that point, we need to stand up, look the evil people right in the eye and tell them loud and clear..."WE ARE NOT AFRAID!!!".

Hisham, THEY ARE LOOSING!
These dispicable acts are not those of someone that is winning, they are acts of desparate cowards whom target soft targets and can not fight in uniform for fear of the security services.
I know for a fact after working in Mosul, Iraq for a year that the everyday man and woman hate these terrorists, and rightly so. So in my opinion, these acts that they commit in the name of an organisation (NOT Islam) are those of a desperate coward. How long it will take them to loose completely i have no idea. Hopefully soon. Egypt has my sympathies.
