thank u very very much...coz i've been sufferin using plaster..haha...
thanx for the tip...
btw, how abt the clay-type plasticine?
Don't know about that. But I think it's more expensive than regular plastercine. A box of plastercine only cost 50cents.

It's not really that oily. Anyway, after u spray on it, it won't be oily no more. But u cannot just spray on the plastercine without any other groundwork effect. If not the ground will look smooth, shiny & artificial. U must cover the surface with fine sand, fine gravels then u spray on it. The spray will sort of hold these in place. If u want to make tank tracks, just press the your tanks on the plastercine and the grooves will be embeded in the platercine.

Spray the base made of plastercine, sprinkled with fine sand & gravel..This is what I do, may not be the best base making tip but it works fine for me. Rather use this than use plaster...Too messy...Unless I have a dedicated Model Making Workshop!!

Liquid glue? Nope. I use regular Pylox brown spray just to make the ground wet to hold the sand and stones. Then when it dries, use tamiya spray to highlight.

Pylox spray is just normal spray can. And it need not be Pylox, can be other brand (the cheaper the better). This normal spray only cost abt $4.50 and it can last for a long time. Comes in all colors of the rainbow! Depend on what u want to do..

Do not be tempted to use pylox on your model, its a bad idea. I did it on my 1 /1 scale bayonet, it was a disaster.

No..Not on models..That would be model suicide!! My first bike (Ducati like Danial's) was given a Pylox paintjob and it was crap! It was just too thick and start dripping everywhere!!

Hmm.. you can try using plastercine? Otherwise, there're lots of different things that you can use to make those bases. Up to your imagination man.
