I will, hopefully, have the "starting a branch " request forms in about 2 weeks. I need to fill these in to be able to officially request to start the IPMS ArmoramaUK branch. As some of you know, one of the stipulations for starting a branch is that there are a minimum of 5 fully signed up members of the IPMS. I'm one and I know there are plenty more, so if you are an IPMS member and you are interested in becoming a member of this branch then please respond stating your IPMS number. Although only five names are required I would like to include as many as possible. Thanks.
For those of you who haven't followed this then check out this thread:
IPMS AUK Of course all members of the IPMS will be welcome and Jim has some nice ideas for IPMS members who are members of this site, so there will be added benefits. Armorama. co.uk will be the web site of IPMS ArmoramaUK, It will also be the new home for the "Country Branch" as I have said that I will take this on as well. This all depends on the Committee agreeing on the proposal (the first time out it got a no but I have spoken to a few committee members and it looks more likely next time) So the more the merrier.

Hi Mal
Sorry, I let this one slip before I scooted off to Greece. I'll get my application sorted out.
All the best

Hi all.
Just to update you on the formation of IPMS Armorama, the EC today (26-06-05) gave the go ahead as there are now sufficient members.
I have e-mailed Mal with the news and the ball should be rolling on from here.

Great news, I haven't had time to let Jim know yet. According to an email I have received it is 99% up and running. I have yet to receive the necessary paperwork, but I'm axpecting that at the end of the week, or early next week.
I am assuming it will get off the ground and I'm starting to plan for Telford. I will open another thread soon, whan I have the paperwork sorted. In the meantime think about the models you can bring to Telford for the IPMS ArmoramaUK stand.

I met Ross Jarvis at the Doncaster show and we had a great chat, he joined the IPMS while he was there, as you will see just after Phil. He has PM'd with his IPMS Membership number so I have put it here for future reference.
10139, Ross Jarvis
Thanks Ross, hope to see you at Telford

Well Andy, you are halfway there, as you are a member of Armorama, or the Kitmaker Network, you can join in on the IPMS site, just click on my banner, but to be a member of IPMS ArmoramaUK you will need to join the IPMS as well. If you know nothing about the IPMS don't worry, I can give you a link to their web site, if you like. The best way to find out is to get along to Scale Modelworld in Telford, in November. IPMS ArmoramaUK will have a stand there, you can see some great models, meet some of the Armorama clan, chat about models and modelling, and spend loads of dosh on things that you will never build

This is the biggest 2 day show that there is.
There will be more about Telford nearer the time
