One of my friends is doing a project for our video production class about diversity amongst cultures. In the piece, she wants to have the phrase "Open your eyes" stated/written a number of times in a variety of languages. I offered my assistance in finding some answers for her.
Long and the short of it, my question is how do you say "Open your eyes" in your language (and how would it be pronounced phonetically)?
Thanks for the assistance!!!

Our country has a lot of dialects aside from our National language.
In Tagalog, our national language, it's:
"Buksan mo ang iyong mga mata."
In Cebuano, the dialect of my area, it's:
"Ablihi (or Bukha) ang imong mga mata."
Hope this helps.

In Spanish - 'Abrir tus ojos' - that's Spanish, Spanish. In South-American Spanish it would be more formal:
'Abrir SUS ojos' ..Jim
'Abrir SUS ojos' ..Jim

In Polish: otwórz oczy
Have no idea how it could be phoneticaly
Maybe something like: otvoorz oczy, 'rz' sounds like 'ge' in word garage
Cheers,

Well and in Portuguese:
"Abre os teus olhos" or simply "Abre os olhos"
and it is spelled more or less like this:
Abre - A (á like in Alaska) + bre
os - uus
teus - tehuus
olhos - ollos (the double L or LH like in the spanish calle)
Hope this helps

This is indeed a nice topic... Now I`m even able to tell the foreign people I work with how they have to open their eyes. You`ll never know when that will be usefull.
Ok I have another pair since Ronny already gave the Dutch way of saying open your eyes which is Open je Ogen. I have some in Dutch Dialects of which I am now imagining it would be extremely funny to hear them out of the mouth of people that don`t speak Dutch.
Ok Here goes
Doe die oogkleppen weg!!!
Luiken open!!!!
Ut worre nou toch toid da`je goa koiken!!!
I`m not really sure if even the rest of Holland is able to speak that last one :-) :-)
