Jim-- call me confused by your response. You own the site and certainly can conduct business as you see fit. I volunteered to moderate a forum/discussions in which contributor offer plausible reasons for their choices. We have a large response audience. So folks are interested. Than without anyone on the staff giving me even the courtesy of a e mail, this particular topic is locked-down. If I am not doing what you want a Moderator to do, tell me. I certainly enjoy the discussions we conduct here. But, you are more than welcome to find someone else who would be more acceptable to your manner of doing business.
I can always be replaced.

DJ,
I only locked the topic after I created the above post but it did not seem to register. I thought there was some technical issue going on so I locked the post to avoid a posting problem. I am still not sure why it was not showing up for me earlier.
As for my response I think it is perfectly plain. You are free to moderate as you see fit but there were serious lines being overstepped here by both members and staff-members. Personally I don't think it was your place to say anything on this. But it is mine.
If ANY member has personal issues with another member i suggest they either ignore that persons comments (yes Rob is thinking ignore fuction here --- and I am starting to think it might be worth it) or they can PM them and attempt to work out their differences.
My "10 minutes of my life" comment may have been misinterprited. I did not mean 10 mins to read thread but 10 minutes to delete all the off-topic comments in said thread.
Thanks,
Jim
