I live in a rural township. It seems most people voted early here. My wife waited forty minutes to vote in the morning. I just walked in, checked in with the officials, and was out of there within five minutes. I'm glad I went too, I found out that some of the transplanted city folk are going to try to force some new zoning ordinances through. I wish they'd just stay in the city instead of trying to bring the city out to us.

I had a quick and easy go of it to. I didn't have a card but I was on the register so no problem. If I wanted a card I would have had to fill out some 4 page document. I said as long as I was on the register and just had to show a driver's license why bother, besides they are suppossed to mail new ones every two years. That was the longest part of the whole process. We hit new records I was voter 466 a friend of mine went in 4 hours later and was 805. The poll guy says average is around 350. We got redistricted so we had a new US Rep. we had big controversy over one seat here and appartenly Grand Prairie was no longer part of that area....the only reason I went to vote, but the guy I would have voted for won quite handily so we finally got "da udder bum trown out !"

If I don't vote, what right do I have criticising those elected by others?
Since I voted.... I can continue to criticise the elected.

I think I can now appreciate how and why you have your callsign.

:-) :-) :-) :-) :-)
That means I can also criticise those I voted for, if they won.

Just caught this thread...
My office was clolsed early due to roof work sending clouds of noxious fumes in for the second day in a row. I had a meeting off site at 1:00 and was done at 2:00 hit the polls at 2:30 and there was nol one in line ahead of me.

In keeping with a 32 year almost unbroken tradition, I cast my vote for the man who would not be president. (The only blemish in that pure, contrary record occured in 92 and 96 when I voted for Clinton.)
