The secret is that everyone here actually builds models. Some build way more that most of us, but because of that, we all really want to help the guy with the question.

If you need advice, ideas, or even parts, somebody here will help you. I have received figures from guys who asked nothing in return, so whenever I am able to pass along something that is needed, I do it.

We all want to help, not just be helped.

First, I find most modelers are friendly people... we are few and far between, so we are normally open to share with others who share our interest.

Second, Jim and his staff of moderators do a good job of keeping out the riff-raff.

Third, I think basically people like helping others, and this site is all about sharing, help, and knowledge. As someone finishes a project, we all get to enjoy the photos, tricks, and techniques.... and it doesn't cost a dime!

this is one of the reasons why i'm so amazed when i was lurking around. i mean people here would help people whom they have never met! Send items over etc...sometimes even without postage fees!

i have never ever seen such helpfulness in any forums...

rock on people!

Did someone say there's LSD in the water?....Cool...you don't kknow how that statement "takes me back to my youth"...well thats one reason and another would be the great chatroom we have (where we talk about the all the other members unless they happen to be in the room at the same time...hehe...so....be there or be talked about)

My helmet is also off to Jim and the other staffers. Geeze I Love This Site....and I need to renew my A Guard before the month is over...

This site is in fact the most friendly place i have seen. And the reason behind it in my opinion is the wonderful people here that keep this place up and running on a day to day basis. Gentle guides and rules as to how posts are done and wat is allowed is done in a very professional way. And like has been said before, everyone is welcome here. Even i, a baby in the realm of the model world, was totally welcomed and accepted into the group. All the members here are awesome, and eveyone here has in most cases went out of their way to help me out with all my silly questions. These people are the cats meow. (++)
