At model club the other day, Mark of Michigan Discount Models just acquired the entire inventory of another seller who decided to call it quits. I picked up another M7 that I plan to pair up with the other M7 already entered in the Incoming Campaign.
Anyway with the addition of my newly acquired M7 I have exceeded my stash limit of 5 kits. I now stand at 6! I guess I will have to build at least five kits this weekend before my 4 Dragon M4A1 Earlys arrive sometime in September.
I just cant stand having this out of control stash

WOW! Six unbuilt kits? You are truly out of control. I think it is time to call the cops and have you arrested. Perhaps even thrown into a straight jacket. Man oh man! Someone stop this madness! :-)
I guess I shouldn't even tell you how many kits I have... 200+

Why you ANIMAL! have you no controll ? You need to go on the kit watchers plan, only low fat kits , and bought in small quantities! Your getting way over stashed man. Soon your closet will be sagging and you cant see your shoes!
Sheesh, get a grip on yourself man!

I finally have to accept that I am not a modeler, I am a collector. I hope to change that status eventually, but as it sets, I am in excess of a 1000 kits or so. I don't have a list, so I suppose I will have to post pictures to prove it

Our buddy w/ 5 has guilt trips
I have about 20+ kits
and the wife is TRYING to give me the trips our buddy w/ 5 kits put on himself, and I see these modelers with 100s or 1000s
WOW
I'll tell the wife to nag them first, me later :-)
Lets get the XActo's, the CA and get busy

I can't believe the number of kits some of you folks have. Just remember when you pass on, your wives are going to have one hell of a yard sale!

I have around 40 armor kits and 20 figure kits. I like having a good stock of figures as its great when you´re looking for a right arm (literally) or pose. I build max 8 armor kits a year, so thats a 5 year waiting for some of what I have in stock. Plus what I`ll buy over the next 5 years, I know some will never be built.
Id be happy with a stock of 10 again so I can buy some of the new releases coming out!

My view on it is they are a better investment than the stock market. I have some that have went out of production that are getting to the price that I doubt I would want to try to build it.
On the other side of the coin, I am certain I can kill a Fortune 500 company by buying as little as 10 shares!

And I was feeling with my 200 odd kits that I had alot.
They are broken up with mostly Aircraft and Armor, a smattering of cars and a pinch of sci fi and ships.
Probably the biggest percentage would be armor(thought I was nuts when I looked and discovered I had bought my 4th Challanger kit, all different mind you), followed closely by aircraft, and then probably autos (mostly Nascar), then a few ships and sci fi(All Star Trek)
