well for you what was the film that summed up your generation?. For me it was trainspotting set in Edinbrough in the late 80's early 90's and I could relate to alot of the topics covered in the story line some really great funny bits in it as well like Spud with the sheet indident worth a watch if you've never seen it it was based on a book by Irvine Welsh and his books are worth a read as well. Be warned though both film/books are thrather gritty



For me it of course the one and only Breakfast club, Fast times and Heavy Metal

I had just finnished up AIT at Ft. lost-in-the-woods (Leonard Wood) Mo. in 1980. So, i have to "Strips" w/ Bill Murry! funny funny funny movie....

wot no star wars? the first star wars film (episode iv now) blew my mind,the only sci fi films and tv i'd watched up to then was fairly low budget stuff,but this film actually looked real ( to my eleven year old eyes)and was also only the second time i'd been taken to a cinema (the first time was to see the aristocats at the futurist which is now converted to offices) P.s. the tv program of my generation had to be the young ones,i can prove this cos my dad saw it once,and asked me why i was watching a stupid programme that didnt make sense
