Ciao everyone,
I wanted to share a couple of pics of my cart. It's in 1/35, and I am going to include it in an upcoming dio. I don't suppose we are going to have an upcoming "cart" campaign, are we? Anyway, I built it out of tongue depressors and metal foil. The wheels are resin (can't remember the manufacturer.) I still have to paint, decorate (Sicilian carts are very elaborate) and weather. Let me know what you think. Comments are welcome.
Ciao for now
Rob

Frank,
It's easy to learn how to scratchbuild. First, you open your wallet. You notice that it's empty. Second, you close your eyes and imagine. Boom! You're on your way to scratchbuilding.
Listen, all you do is draw a scale drawing, then you follow the drawing. Start simple and then work your way up. Even brain surgeons wore diapers once.

Ciao everyone,
Thanks for the compliments. I didn't actually scratchbuild the wheels, they were store-bought resin pieces I got at the hobby store. It would have been a bear to scratch them suckers!
Ronny - I have the plans (simple at best), but if you want them, I can send a scan of them. One of sheet of paper with three drawings.
Again, thanks for the compliments. I will update the photos when I get it decorated. Sicilian Carts are very elaborate and very beautiful.

Only once? Was it during surgery or right after? I am sorry Rob, I just couldn't help it :-)

As for your cart, it is outstanding. I see you maintain very nice attention to details. Are you going to paint the wooden parts or just stain them?

Everyone,
Again, thanks for the comments. Marty - I am decorating it with the vivid colors of the typical cart. I have posted a new string with an update of the cart. I have a long way to go, I fear.
Ciao for now
