I went ahead and got that Ardennes KT (what the heck, there's always room for another King tiger in the fold). Then got a set of the Winter uniform figures to go with it. Decided, aw why not and bought theChinese version of the venerable Tamiya 350 scale Bismarck. final price after taxes...$54.85. I had to laugh..full retail on the Ardennes kit was 50 bucks. Of course now all the necessay goodies to complement the kits. PE set for Bismark and PE grills and individual track links and turned metal tube for the Tiger. Now that stuff will cost. Why can't hobby Lobby stock some of those goodies???

What the heck is a "Polar Lights NX01?"

I got a Pershing, a Early Production Sherman, and a Walker Bulldog. I might go back later and get another Early Sherman, and I'm really tempted about the Marder. What the heck, another knocked out German SP wouldn't hurt?

You're not going to believe this, but I picked up from the Hopbby Lobby in Texas City (20 miles south of Houston) the Tamiya T-55, Tamiya HMMV and the Tamiya M2A2 ODS. No kidding! I went in there expecting to pick up another Tiger or Pershing and about had a heart attack when I saw the other kits.

Hi guys,

First time posting here but have been lurking for a bit just soaking in all the info and awesome artistry everyone here has. Thanks to the post here in the forums I saw Hobby Lobby was going to be having a sale this morning so I visited my 4 local shops and picked up what interested me. Being new to the hobby (last time I did models was when I was a kid, miss it and want to get back into it) this was a great treat!

Picked up a few more sets of the 1/35 modern military figures. The only set of WWII figures I saw were a German machine gun team so I snagged those as well. Some sandbags, jerry cans, brick walls and obstacles (for $2.25 a pop why not right?).

Picked up a Tamiya 1/35 Bradley, Hobby Craft Humvee and HC M1A1 since they didn't have any M60's (hard to find cheap). A Tamiya Hanomag and Revell Corvette C5-R 2001 model as well. Funny part is my wife picked up a 1/72 P-51 and 1/48 Corsair because she's interested in building models too, always helps to get the wife involved to justify the cost right? lol

Saw a King Tiger as well and was tempted to pick it up and still might, although my interests aim more towards the Pacific Theater for WWII for doing diorama's, my goal to getting into model building again. All added up I think I spent about $80 or so.

Thanks for the heads up on the sale guys, it's much appreciated!

I was lucky enough, with a friend's help, to pick up the ODS Bradley and Desert version of the M113. I am thinking about running out to that surburban HL that has the new kits on the shelves and picking up the new Abrams as well as an early Sherman. Oh, at the closest HL, I also picked up more brick sets and US Infantry weapon sets, at $2.50 each I couldn't resist.

Mech-Mechanic, is there something specific you are interested in?

Picked upt he only PL NX-01 they had in stock. Someone else was looking at it, but his wife gave him the "funny look". He made the mistake of putting it back on the shelf while he tried to convince her. (sneaky, but you do what you have to do !)

Will be making a trip back tomorrow as the wife said last night to pick out a few for Father's Day. Got my eye on quite a few, now to narrow down the possibilities !

I'll check my HL tonight in Allen, we're stopping by again to look for any new stuff. Will see if they have the Enterprise for you Sabot, if you're still looking for it. If there's a T-55 I'll snatch it for you Blaster, have you tried the Plano stores?

I picked up the Marder III and the US infantry weapons set. The US weapons set is molded in gunmetal and you get two of everything. Not bad for $2.25. I got the M4A3 105mm and Panther G last time they had the 50% off Internet coupon. I did see one of the Polar Lights ST kits everyone is talking about. I went to three Hobby Lobby stores in my area and they all had the usual kits. No T-55's or HUMVEE's. Hurry out! 4 days left!

Hey Blaster: I am heading out today to one of the suburban HLs here in Houston that had the T55 on Monday. Have you found someone to get one for you?

I took the day off for a doctor's appointment and then stopped by the Hobby Lobby. My fiancee and I then bought the following:

Mil Miniatures Sandbags and Jerry Cans
Tamiya 1/35th Marder III
Tamiya Panther A - Doh!! I should have gotten the G
Tamiya King Tiger

M26 Pershing

and....The Enterprise NX01!!

So, about $107.00 dollars spent and according to my cackle-ations, they would have been much, much more. I am now a very happy camper.

My lovely fiancee, Brenda will be assembling the Enterprise while I do the tanks.

So, how do I mask the german tanks?

Due to the fact that I had to spend my cash on a tensioner pulley assembly for the supercharger on my car, I didn't buy anything. This is one reason I didn't respond to the co-op posts. I figured I would not have the cash to front the cost of the models.

Then, when I got home from work, it turns out some one was thinking of me. My wife got me :
Panther G late
Mobilewagen
Sherman A4
Hanomag 251
German Machine Gun Troops
Jerry Cans

Happy Fathers Day to all! I got mine early!

I grabbed a Tamiya M1A2, M2A2 ODS, M26 Pershing and the Jetsons Space ship. Total cost...less than $80. well worth the time spent.....and that was at just one of our 3 stores in the area. And there was much rejoicing...yay. :-) "Q"

I picked up too much to go with the too much I got on their last 1/2 price sale to go with the too much of everything I have purchased for my hobby to go with my very little output.
