[quoteGusto ko nga bumili nung Camelback na yon. Sobrang mahal daw sabi ng mom ko. Very useful sana pag hiking. As double purpose, pwede mo pang gamitin while on the move (war games). Just pull out the straw :-) :-) :-)

SR: Don't shine your boots! Nothing shiny when you go out on patrol. {/quote]

How bout my teeth?

:-) :-) :-)

Yes it's quite expensive(Camelback) but if you are into activities that require constant hydration it would be an investment. Maybe it's because of the name, dito nga they sell it starting at $30 and it's made in the Philippines.

Eat a lot of duhat when you go out on patrol so that your teeth wont shine. :-)

Cardinal,

If youre in Manila visiting, drop me or the other members a line. Sali ka namin sa patrol. Klinger will be joining us when he comes back.

The camelback is a really effective device. But for now I prefer canteens. Mas maporma ng konti. Hehehe! At least, if Im going to get hit, Im getting hit in style. Hahaha!

Shonen,

Just text me so we can reserve a weapon for you.

Tanker,

Hey! Glad to see you back. Where's AV-8? Text me too if youre coming so we can make reservations. Sorry, last time no AKs eh.

Im not sure if theres a place selling BDUs near Marikina. Years ago there were several shops selling military supplies in Cubao, beside National Bookstore. But I dont know if theyre still there.

The shops beside Crame are fairly priced. A set of SAF temperate chocolate chip (the one used by the PNP Regional Mobile Groups) and the subdued chocolate chips as well as the blue DPM sell at around P1,800. You could say authentic yun mga yun since PNP personnel buy their stuff from these stores.

Warthog,

Medyo mahal pa talaga Marpat since the supply is not yet steady. Me pailan-ilan dumarating, but tiempuhan. Its not readily available as, say, Woodland, PA DPM, Desert 3-color and chocolate chip.

4eyes,

Yup. Fixed ang scenarios. Assault, defense, skirmish, etc. Me pistol games din if there are enough players with pistols.

Hi Guys!
Liebgott here. For those who are interested, we will be having our next patrol on the 20th. Same place Pacific Mall.

Buck
Nice Pics man!!! Gotta test that brand new Kevlar replica of yours. Hehe.

Shonen
Those boots ain't need shinin'.
Gotta get low down and dirty! So tara join na!

4eyes and Jeremy
When you got hit by a basic gun, it stings a bit and it will leave you with a red mark. But if you got hit with a modified AEG which can blast a round of bb's up to 600 feet per sec. That would be a real mess. Yun ang talagang aray!

The game masters always sees to it that the gamesite is regulated with guns up to 350 fps - 430fps. lang for everybody elses sake. Mahirap umuwi ng duguan.

No worries mayt! Safe tayo duon.

Agree with the safety... my only concern is in the head part. I wish we'll be having a good face mask round here.

Make no mistake, Paul. Those itty-bitty bb pellets can hurt too. Para kang pinitik ng maraming beses. To be hit by a paintball is like being punched.

You mean mas masakit pa ang paintball??? I've been playing paintball many time and I've been hit mostly in the arms and one time, in the head.

That's right, Shonen. Back when I was in college, an org (can't remember the name) organized a paintball wargame. We went to Alpadi in Antipolo run by Gotcha (by Vince Padilla) sorry, no hi-tech guns, just vanilla Splatmasters. I tell you, if you're on the receiving end of a paintball slug, it hurts (I got hit in the torso) and it felt like being slugged...HARD or (if I may exaggerate a bit) being hit with a club (probably an arnis stick).

I had my share of blows, I got dinged here and there, sure I did get hit by airsoft BB's (they STING) but a paintball is the closest you'll probably ever feel to being hit by a real bullet. Those things leave welts (though reddish) in you for some time.

Liebgott: I wish wargames can be held on Sundays too or maybe Saturday afternoon as I attend mandatory school meetings on Saturday mornings. I also gotta check if my airsoft gun is still functioning.

Back in '96, I wanted to get a Western Arms .45 or Beretta or even an MGC Glock. I even saved money but then came the ban of importing airsoft (Lil's and Tokyo Hanna used to sell them openly). That torpedoed my plans.

Pity they cost more now than they did before. I'm more interested in getting a pistol even though I could rent an SMG or rifle.

Desert gamesite? I think there is one in Pampanga near Clark. Yung malapit sa lahar dumpsite, but I haven't tried that yet. Though, already looking for some tri-color bdu's.

Our next game is on the 20th, sunday at 11am skirmish game. 2pm game proper.
Mas maraming players on sundays, more than a hundred.
Hope you can make it.

Ahhh... Gotcha!! Man! That was the one in Fesitval Mall where we usually play paintball. The closest shot I've had was about 1-2 meters. I didn't notice he was hiding in the edge and I was shot in the head. Feels like you bump your head to the wall (and to think of it, I thought I was dead. There was a slight duration of silence just like in the movies). Another time when I was rushing towards the enemy flag. Then someone was hiding in the bunker and ambushed me from the rear. I got shot in the arm and I thought it was blood! Because it hurts too much and the paint used was red. Also, it left me with a hump (pantal) the size of a Tamiya acrylic bottle :-)

Cardinal & Blitz,

Just say when, my friends. We'll gladly take you on a patrol "in country." The night bivouac sounds very exciting too. Klinger's joining when he comes back too.

Will stay safe. Cant say the same about not getting hit though. LOL.

Liebgott,

Im actually hoping Ill not get hit this time. Hehehe!

Uy!

Ano? OK ba yung NPA look???

Fritz,

Pwedeng pwede! Some players actually do prefer wearing civilian clothes.

AV-8,

A patrol is setting out on the 20th. R2, Guarnnere, Junior, Bistro, LIebgott and me are going. I think Shonen and Spidey are going too. Text me kung makahabol ka. Saya yun!

Hi Thread,

The airsoft wargame is quite popular in the Philippines. We do shoot at each other but we wear eye/face protection and army issue BDU's, tactical vest, etc to avoid serious injuries.
