I read the posts from several participants slamming TROY because of the soundtrack. Me I rarely pay any attention to them . There is one though that fires me up "Conan". Now to me that is totally magnificent. I saw the beginning of the God-awful sequel to it and the soundtrack to it was pretty good as well. I also am rather fond of the Last of the Mohicans track. What are some of ya'lls favorites?

They messed up the new version of this soundtrack album. They dropped the clannad song. I dont have it, but have best of clanad and I think its a shame. Although heavy metal is what i usually listen to, clanad are a peaceful change now and again. Plus their family pub being about 20 mins away influenced this.
The only soundtrack album I ever bought in my life was the commitments soundtrack. Probably because it was something different to my usual tastes. A good soundtrack can make a big difference though. Good morning vietnam and forest gump come to mind. The latest bond movie was quite cool also .... thought having the clash´s london´s burning was great.

I actually had this (trick or treat) on vinyl before i sold them all to buy cds. This was fastways best album by far. I downloaded some of the songs from the net again, but would buy this cd if i saw it in an instant. Good choice hasty!!

Amazing- No one's mentioned Apocalypse Now. Definitely rates a fave in the best all around. Where else can you get Richard Wagner & Jim Morrison in the same package?
Of course, I also like Greatest American Hero...

Conan the Barbarian
Cocoon
Legend
Silverado (although I never bought this one)
Rambo - First Blood Part II
Somewhere in Time
The Mission
Glory
More recently:
Last of the Mohicans (definately one of my all-time favs)
Fried Green Tomatoes
How to Make an American Quilt (don't laugh!)
Schindler's List
Gettysburg
City of Angels
Gladiator
Cheers,
Jim

For me, it would be the soundtracks of the Star Wars saga. John Williams sure knows how to make 'em.

Definitely Gladiator.
And funny enough not mentioned yet Platoon...
Liked Trainspotting, but I wouldn't go so far as calling it a soundtrack...

Or you're the one with the most culture. Great music. My daughter recently started the sax and had her first concert, so I put on The Blues Brothers, let the neighborhood know what a great surround sound system I have, and let loose. She's now a Blue Lou Marini fan. She even wanted to wear her sunglasses to the concert. Some teachers need more of a sense of humor.
