HUWAAAWW!!!

That's a very pretty bird man. Very nice camo, and cockpit. What specific pinoy markings are you gonna use?

Please keep us posted on its progress ha. I'll watch this thread.

Grabe, nice detail work!! How do you do it, Klinger? You make it seem soooo easy.

BTW, Can you help me find the 1/72 matchbox kit of the Boeing P12-E biplane in Hanants or other hobby shops. I'll pay for it when you come back home for a visit. It should cost between GBP4 to 8.

Cheers,

tnx guys, i made the paint a li'l bit faded as in parang kupas(worned) with some new paint patches.
the dials are achived by:
1. paint he base color first like gray (interior colors)
2. dry brush the details black like bottons, rim of the dials, guages
3. with a very thin white paint and very small brush, apply the paint inside the dials.
to apply the white paint, 1.wet your brush with thinner
2. dab your brush into the paint, just the tip of it.
3. on a smooth surface (bathroom tile or palatte),unload your
loaded brush
4. dab again your brush into the thinner
5. pick up your paint from your palette, by this time, your paint will
be very thin
4. dont worry if your paint is very faint, just wait for few minutes and do the whole procedure
again.
5. dry brush again to darken your dials.
here some more zoom pictures of the dials.

klinger

Just wanna ask more about the instruments. As I understand it, you paint the gray first. After that, how did you paint the black on the individual instrument panel bases (i.e., some instruments are on a square sort of frame while some are on circular frames)? Were this masked then sprayed on?

Finally, how did you do the yellow/black bars panels?

Just wondering
