I too did not see this forum before, but thought I would introduce myself anyway.
My name is Dave Selim, I'm a computer network administrator by trade. I've returned to military modeling as a hobby after a multi-year absence. My main interests are World War II subjects, primarily because my father is veteran who fought in France/GermanyLuxembourg/Belgium as a rifleman with the 87th Infantry, US Army. I primarily build (ok, mostly collect unbuilt kits) of Commonwealth and US armor, trucks, artillery, and figures in 1/35th scale and also night fighter and ground attack aircraft of all WWII nations in 1/48th scale. I will actually start building again as soon as I can get to my workbench (which is blocked in due to a recently finished home remodeling project).
In addition to modeling, I also custom build/tinker with computers, read history and fantasy/science fiction books, collect and watch WWII movies, and dabble with model trains. No wonder I never have time to build!
I would like to say I've learned a lot during my lurking time here on Armorama, I'm very glad I found the site and became a member. Hopefully I will someday have something to contribute.
Cheers!
Dave
