Being we ran out of room because of all the boarders we house. I was left with little choice but to use the only room left. Morning can be tough times because of the rush. Otherwise, if I dont drink to much when I model it can be peaceful.......Not #:-)

These photos serve as a great testament to the "stash size" forum that is also posted... You guys have given me some very good ideas for the room that I'm building in my garage. Thanks!

Jeez Waterboy, I believe you owe Jim a little money for the obvious overt advertising for Clearly Canadian.

Ola PEople

I`m going to reshoot pics of my HQ at the attic of our house. Must be funny to compare my really neat and tidy earlier pics that I shot for the rogues Gallery.
Now I have about 5 Projects going on at the same time and it is litteraly covered with figures, vehicles, Building descriptions and more.
I will show them very soon.

Katyusha,
It seems like you have tons of projects going, you wouldn't be a member of the Washington Armor Club??

I have to keep my building area pretty clean. That's where we eat dinner.

Since I recently got back into the hobby, (and into armor for the first time), I mostly build straight out of the kit. No scratch building yet. And generally I do my building while keeping an eye on the kids. So the dining room table serves best in this capacity. When they get a little older, I'll set something up in my office downstairs, but I'll have to move all my other hobby stuff (beer bottles, vintage video games) into a more organized manner.

Sorry no pic. My area is in the smallest spare room . I have an old office desk that I use to build on . Looks like a disaster area but I'm still able to find most everything.

wow, i wish i had a working digital camra. ...my workspace is by far the most thrown together. we have a couch with two recliners.. almost worn out. i use the far end of that to sit on. i pull an old footstool in front of me with a viynal covering with newspaper thrown over it to protect from paint and a place to be sloppy and mix. behind that i have a plastic kids kinda three drawer thing that i keep scratchbuilding supplies and dio stuff in. woodland scenic stuff, old figures and parts from old models. not to mention some new figure kits. to my immediate right is a wall so nothing goes there unless its in the window base. the window has a window unit so there isnt much room. about 45degrees to my left there is an old end table with a priortity mail box over it to protect from paint. haha. the other side of the couch has a couple incomplete 1:48scale b-17 bombers and a comercial airline d-3 model. so, on top of that stuff and a console between the two chairs i keep other stuff. detail kits, kits i plan to start soon, my headset magnifier, and just about anything else. all the table space is completely full of stuff. paints. candle. foam block with brushes stuck upside down in it. exacto knife set. more paints. everything. i cant set the model im working on directly on the table.. i rest it on top of other paint bottles. haha, only the 120mm figure sets down and i balance it on the base it came with. i think that is about it. with i had a pic, could have typed a lot less. but the truth is there really is no way i have found to be organized and work on models seeing as how i get many 1.5 hours a day if im not working or talking to my girlfriend on the phone. cheers

This my work area, a 9'x8' room that housed a 50 cu ft chest(coffin more than anything) freezer and some other assorted stuff. Over the course of about 8 months I put in new tile floor, a new drop ceiling with some updated lighting and the desk/workbench which is all scratchbuilt. The room in pretty small so I consolidated everything around the workbench as much as could with out creating a cramped working area . It was my first attempt at major woodworking since high school shop class. I added some really roughly made drawers on the left side to store tools and supplies as well as tools for stuff around the house. I made a cabinent to mount my aircompressor in under the right side tabletop and added utility shelving around it to store projects under construction. This is vital to keeping my workspace as clean as I can. The bench size is 72x36x32, decent enough size as I like to keep things spreadout while I'm working. I can also do two or more projects at once, or if needed I can use it to pull of repairs on stuff around the house, which is how I got the wife to buy off on the whole concept to begin with. If you note on the right hand side you'll get a sneak preview of a 25 percent complete M981 FISTV and a Testors paint storage center converted into a real cheap pedestal for airbrushing (the subject of a upcoming article once I get the construction pics back from developing).

This represents a cleaned up area which is atypical of how it is most of the time. I'm a huge fan of the Discovery Channel's 'American Chopper' and everytime I leave a disorganized mess in my work area I imagine Paul Sr walking in and kicking my ass because I left the area a wreck like thw way his son does on the show. So I really make an effort to clean up my desk at home at the end of the day. My desk at work is an all together different story- NCO Eval reports, Yearly Training Calenders and bunch of other "Army Stuff' scattered all over but I digress....

This is a sad area of my shop. As you can see my cab only has about half a dozen kits in it- gotta hunt down more kits on EBAY! I also have my references in here (TMs, Internet articles from Armorama, Missing-Lynx, etc..) and at the bottom my old RC buggy, a Kyosho Raider, from my teenage RC Car racing period. In the summer this area has a set golf clubs as a roomate because this is close to the front door. My 'done it my self' paint booth is on the otherside of it (not pictured).

Biggest absences: Kits, Tools, and a good digital camera! These were all taken with a really crappy 'jamcam' given to me a few years back. Hopefully I get a better one soon!

Well there it is, my little 1/35 armor mainteance depot. Hope you enjoyed the peek.

Thanks
