I just went and wiped out my hobby shops suppiler for 9 Hummer 4 1025, 5 1046 and 6 M1a1's 3 from italeri, and 3 from tamiya, 6 M2a2 all tamyia's, tring to find tamiya m113's I'll see what they can get me.

What other types off hummer should I try to get.

and what type of armour is there left that will go out of production before the end of the OIF war. So I can make many different dio without paying and arm and a leg on ebay.

I love this place. It's like a self-help group for those of us that modeled for years with insufficient ventilation.

I'm sitting here looking at a bunch of kits that's closing in on 200. I keep telling my wife that I'm stocking up for my retirement. So far, this has seemed a reasonable explanation to her.

You mean the unbuilt Tamiya one? I have not started it yet so I can't really say what can be done to improve it. Not much I guess, as it already is a very good model. I think some interior details could improve things - Eduard PE set for M1025 could be useful to add pedals, replace gunner's platform and radio shelf and some other details. Some Sincgars radios (e.g. resin Pro-Art or MR Modell sets) should also be used if you want to build most current vehicle. You may also consider using new style wheels and tires (e.g. Blast Model ones), but it is not really necessary as the old style tires are still very common on Humvees in Iraq and the ones in Tamiya kit are very good.

Remember to use the "dense" radiator grille on the hood - the other one, with widely spaced louvers is used on soft-top Humvees (although in extremely rare cases it can also be seen on hard-top ones).

Eyup, I seem to be using this line more and more lately and I actually think that she's buying it!

Yeah, I'm about 3 years from putting in my 30.......all those kits...........I'll just have to buckle down and get building.

Oh, wait. The Wife's List 'o Stuff For Me To Do When I Retire just keeps getting longer and longer and longer.

Good thing I'll only be 50 whenI pull the plug. I'll need another 30 to get all the kits/chores done!
