I hate to do roadwheels. Tedious, monotonous, etc. I always save the roadwheel work for last. Just can't get inspired about them. What is your least favorite part of building a kit?

Sanding....anything. Gun tubes, tires, tool handles...if it needs sanded, I dislike it.

Ditto - roadwheels bite sometimes! Lots of tedium in cleaning up seams and dreaded ejector pin marks if the kit is an older one.

I loath ejector pin marks and sinkholes equally. New kits aren't really bad - but them oldies really test your patience...

Tedious camouflage schemes. Give me a solid US Army OD, German gray, DAK dunkelgelb, desert sand or even the standard NATO 3-color scheme any day.

Road wheels, no question. One reason I haven't started a Churchil yet, can't stand the thought of all those bloody road wheels.

Ugh! Yes! Roadwheels bite. As does sanding. However, I have a tip which might speed up your roadwheel production and make this bite less.

I use a sharpie marker to color on the black. Around the rim I use the ultra fine point and for the rest the larger fine tip marker. It speeds things up considerably. And, for the occasional slip of ink across the rim, just sand it away or use denatured alcohol. Be careful if you're using water soluble acrylics. the alcohol will remove them too.

I have gotten over my roadwheel problem by never doing two tracked vehicles back to back. A little sanding i dont mind, but its when you buy a kit and it has a bad fit or lots and lots of clean-up, that really pisses me off. I have built quite a few old kits and eastern european and Ive had my fill of bad fits and cleaning up!

Sanding and putty on armor kits.

Other than that, its a cake walk.

Ladies and gentlemen,

I tend to agree that painting is the worst. What part of painting is still in question, roadwheels seem to lead the pack, but getting the camo right too can be a apin. and for that mater, getting the paint mix right is worse.

Compromise,
Its a thing I'll live with, but building track links. I LOVE THE detail possable
with single link tracks, but cleaning and building them have got to be the pits.
OOO another one. When the grills, vents, or cooling doors of a kit are there,
but molded solid, with no opening.

The one most hated task for me(even road wheels are fun compared to this), is the sanding off of the backing from some resin kits. I am not talking about mold gates, I am talking about the backing on flat pieces. Such a waste of time.
