I ve seen that in this site, everyone has an answer to give and likes to add an opinion on themes asked. So there is a point that most people remember when a year is closing and forget when the new year comes. So give your answers if you like to this:
In the new Year coming, What will you do(that did'nt do so far), and what you won't do again(that you did till now and was wrong) concerning your modelling acts, techniques, buing, building, and everything that has to do with our beloved hobby?
Happy modelling everyone and lets enjoy the answers !! (:-) (:-) (:-)

And to give a lil start here are some of the do's and won't do's!!
I will:
1) I ll have decent stock of blades glues putty and sanding paper so i never run out again on saturday night
2) I ll check the colours needed for the finished model painting and not consider them ok even if closed for 3 years now !
3) IK will always secure the open glue bottles and turpentine containers so the wont spill again.
4) I will be in time for my entries in the Cover up, and Death from Above Campaighns in Armorama.com !!
5) I ll make a major cleanup on the bench every ...errrrr lets say 4 months
6) I ll quit going everyday to the hobbyshops looking for spending money
7) I ll make this ....photoarchive of digi pics of all my models so far
8) I ll always use the exact needed amount of glue and never 3 times more!!!
9) Even if bored i ll fill all gaps with putty and sand em , no matter if i think "this wont be seen" !!
10) I ll try to fullfill all of the above 9 !!!!

And i Will Not :
1)i wont rush any project or say :finish it any way no matter how it looks
2)i Wont start a single model if i am not cleared what it will look like, the version, or if i ll put it in a dio .
3)I will not stock more than 100 unbuild models at a time
4) I will not buy 3 bottles of same colour every time but only...... one
5) I will not quit trying to paint my figures better all the time.
6) I will not ever run out again of pastels of every colour
7)I will stop sniffing the liquid glue to get inspired !!!
8)I will not build anything else than armor in 1/.35 for the whole year (easy one!!)
9)i will not stop trying to help my fellow modellers in armorama.com
10) I will not forget all of the above and try to keep em .

Hi Major Goose

Before joining Armorama, I had real trouble maintaining the discipline to finish anything.

Taking part in Campaigns has added the extra incentive to help me see models through to the end, BUT... I've made the mistake of joining more builds than I can reasonably complete.

So my New Year's Modelling Resolution is to be a bit more realistic in the targets I set myself, and to make sure I finish what I start. I'll be happy if I live up to that. :-)

All the best

I spent the whole year of 2003 trying to finish off old projects. What a bummer! Its so horrible working on kits that I started 2 years ago and considering Im only modelling for 3, the standard has improved a bit, and working on something that I know I could have done better...was frustrating to say the least.
My one "will do", is to work on one model at a time only. Not start anything else until it is finished. No rushing it to get it out of the way either.
If I can keep within this boundry for 2004 IŽll be happy!

WILL DO:
Complete all started kits within the year...(take lots of RRB photos from start to finish)
Participate in a couple campaigns...( makes it eaiser to "show your face" in chatrooms)
Not buy another kit for the whole year...(gifts don't count against me on this one)
Only purchase supplies needed...(no more "stocking up" on paints, etc.)
Save more scratch materials from the recycle bin...(my wife hates me for this)
Catalog my reference materials in some better order...(the Dewey Decimal System perhaps)
Help my oldest son, 9 years old, build a kit of HIS choice. (even a plane)

WON'T DO:
Make another list untill this one is completed.

I will:

-Clean the bench after every work session. Or atleast once a week.
-Do more research and have a picture of a real subject to work from rather than just another person's model.
-Remember that I have a wife and dog that need attention too.
-Take time to correct mistakes instead of just pushing forward.

Will not:
-Do the opposite of any of the above. (hopefully)

Will....
Finish models
Post more pictures
Keep my workbench at least somewhat clean
Build a craft/hobby shed for my wife and me
Build more ships
Continue to try at least one new technique per kit
Finish models

Won't...
Buy more kits unless they are to complete collections, i.e. all Tamiya British armor.
Buy kits just to buy them
Take three months to finish a kit

in '03 I realized that all the kits I'd been picking up over the years for building
"someday" -
was that "someday" may never come, so I better start building while the time is here.

Wont:
1. Build older kits and try to bring them up to modern standards. Might as well build the better stuff.
2. Go out of my way to provide assistance/answers. If I know the answer off the top of my head, I'll give it.
Will:
3. Build to have fun, not aim for perfection in miniatures.

Hi. Talk less, model more. The only way I'm ever going to get caught up I'm afraid. Since I'm a stay-at-home person, my wife does all the socializing, which works out real well for the both of us. But I find I'm spending a lot of time on this Infernal Machine the last few months, when I could be working on plastic and resin, not to mention the vast amount of reading materials that keeps stacking up here and there that I have yet to get to. But, unlike the Idiot Box in the living room, I do get useful information out of this thing, as opposed to that. Guess that's the reason why the TV stays off at least 95% of the time anymore.

Take care, sgirty

I will;
finish more than one model per year
research and plan all projects before starting them
join a campaign

I will not;
buy more kits (yeah, like this is going to happen)
buy more Tamiya paint
spend more time in the forums than I do at my work bench

I want to try to model a little everynight, and not let homework or girls stop me. I want to be a modelling machine, I want to make models all of the time. And I will do it, with Nike!

Was that a good one for a commercial?
