Greetings!

Love the cars! The Cobra was sweet and brought back GREAT memories...it was my Dad's favorite!

But, no ships or boats? I only build 1/350 ships and I just happen to have an entry, if you guys don't mind. This is a fairly quick build, so I should be able to finish on time.

"And now for something completely different!"

"IT'S....."

The USS Flagstaff, PGH-1. She was a PGH (Patrol Gunboat - Hydrofoil) during the Vietnam War. The US Navy loaned her out to the US Coast Guard for trials with that service. She actually made a Search and Rescue run off the coast of San Diego when a family on a cabin cruiser sent out a distress call.

With her Foils extended, USCGC Flagstaff could do 45+ knots. Obviously, since she was serving as a USCGC unit, she was White, with Coast Guard "Racing Stripes" and the number "1" on her bow.

Yeah! The colors really pop with the red of the engine.

Howdy and thanks fellow builders...

as is typical on a campaign at least for me it, it always seems like I'm one of the last to finish... at least I still have 2 more days..

Main and secondary colors are good, chassis ready, decals on..
all requirements of the campaign are met I think... just waiting on some stuff to dry then I will be doing final fitting tomorrow I think..

this ought to give a good preview of what it will be like.. I really seem to like working with re-issues of old kits, near as I can tell this one is a re-issue from a late 1950's or 1960's kit.

Howdy Everyone.. here is my finished kit, nothing all that hard.. a 1925 Model T Race car, this is a re-issue of an old kit that I built straight out of the box. The kit is pretty basic and I hope I did it some justice, I will say all the chrome is not as easy as a tank..

The hardest part were the exhausts. they just would not glue, had to finally resort to a 2 part epoxy.. prob part of the reason is their free standing style. nothing to hold them in place....

Here are my photos, and if all went well they are in the Gallery.. Kudos to everyone who has finished.. I'm always a late runner..

Well Gents!!

We have a checkered flag!!!

Well done all!! It has been a pleasure watching all of this come together. I'll be handing out the ribbons over the coming weekend.

If you perchance haven't received a ribbon and feel you should have, drop me a message and I'll take care of it straight away!!

Keep up the great work!!!
