Greetings all -
Joining the fun here after a long hiatus from modelling. Couple related kits nothing fancy. I think they fit the criteria for the GB, let me know otherwise!

Peter – very nice job on the Cobra; what type of “black” paint did you use for the car chassis?
Quick question: Been a long time since I’ve built anything, do people still use Castrol Super-Clean to de-chrome the sprues? I don’t like easy-off oven cleaner, fumes are actually toxic
Cheers

Hi James I used Tamiya semi-gloss straight through the a/b no thinner, it gives a less shiny appearence, the chrome parts I cleaned up with oven cleaner, I have tried coke, nail polish remover oxi (which is superb for stripping acrylics) and none were very effective, so nicked the missus oven cleaner.

Some more work done on the Cobra
I made the green up with a mix of acrylics until I got the right shade. I gave it a gloss coat and left it to dry.
I then added the decals yesterday and gave another gloss coat
And dry fitted together.
A little more work to do on small bit including the exhaust windscreen etc.

Thanks Dave. I was tempted to build the blue option as it was racing the year I was born, but I liked the racing green

That looks really good now it's finished. The green suits it just as well as the more usual blue.

Howdy Everyone.
I picked up a kit that should fit into this campaign.
Its the AMT 1925 Model T Ford, this kit looks to me to be a redo or re-release of a 1950's era kit.
I plan to either build a racing version, the kit claims you can build 2 kits in 11 different variations, most of them are in a hot rod style.
I'm planning a blue car with Yellow strips and yellow background for the number..
have a fun campaign everyone.

Hi Guys,
I see some nice work going on here..
This Model T kit has a lot of options, but I've decided to go with the Competition Coupe with the tricked out competition Lincoln Engine with Latham Blower, and rear racing slicks.
Seems like 2 out of every 3 parts for this thing are chrome so the thing will prob be shinny.. here is my progress so far, Have to paint some subassembly's now..

Fantastic work on the Cobra Pete!
Hmmm, I seem to not have posted anything for this one Started this back in October and finished up beginning of February, so I'll try and get these in order.
This is the Tamiya kit, Seb's 2010 RB6, in 1:20, along with some Hobby Design PE, and AcuStion CF decals.

Great model James, and very well made by the look of it!
A few too many sharp edges for my tastes in racing cars.
