Hi to all!

Jeepney, thanks for introducing me to the site and forum. Pretty good place for AFV modelers. As I said last Sunday, I'm into 1/72nd scale modern US and German AFV's. I look forward to swapping ideas, frustrations, and news with other likened souls.

Also, congratulations to you and your future wife! I just got married last October 18 and I hope everything goes smoothly with your preparations.

Best wishes,
RJ

Hi Fritz,

They are moving the meeting ahead because the venue will be used by the UP Fine Arts for the Annual UP Lantern Parade activities.

Hope this helps,
RJ

RJ,

"Wanze?" Oh the names you guys come up with. You were supposed to be "Bistro" or something. Hehehe! Welcome aboard!

Hunter,

It was a Simba APC we took a ride in. That was really bumpy, wasnt it? There was a Scorpion and a V-150 parked in the motorpool. And the interiors smelled like ... socks. The Simba was rather fresh; it was relatively new. Maybe the AFP should appropriate a budget for Ambi Pure, eh?

Blitz,

I just remembered. One of our members, Elmer Banhag, just moved to Canada. He's in Edmonton at the moment. Pretty far from Ontario?

Guys,
Thanks for the warm welcome(s?)! Er, sorry, got lost trying to follow the threads; hmmm, fritz, being an armor enthusiast (and it seems you enjoyed the helmet) if you are free ( this goes for whoever is interested) do tell us ni abet ( if you want to go to the PA museum, we can escort you there. As for your interest in military gear, im reminded of the times when i was about your age and id go loco over anything military- now i take all of these things for granted na kasi these are part and parcel of my job nowadays; anyway, again thanks for all the nice greetings!
Armor data: the PMC has plans to get approximately 12 AAVP7s witht he 1 meter turret; accoring to my friend at N-11 ( Assistant Naval Chief of Staff for Weapons, Communications Electronics, and Information Technology), 4 are projected to arrive within the next 2 years; if you see the UGWS 1 meter turret in the USMC, we improved this in our own way, for the USMC turret had the Mk19 40mmAGL ammolink exposed on the outside; in the PMC, the CIS 40 mm AGL is used and the ammo link is inside- the coaxial gun is an M60 in lieu of an M2HB , and is in a lateral position ( nakatagilid, d nakatayo as in the usual weapons suites); maybe also because our personnel are smaller compared to the Kano, kasya kahit nakapaloob yung ammo link, so its safer than hte US version.
Sige dito muna, at still trying to figure out how to attach pics to my posts here... matanda na talaga ako...

Good evening gentlemen,

Buck,

Congratulations on winning the BAC. The craftsmanship was trully amazing! Hoorah to Braille scale! "Wanze" is a WW2 German code-word for their one-man tank project and I have been using it at my other discussion groups.

Jepot,

Thank you for the open invitation to the PA Museum. I have been interested in going to the Museum and I might just take you up on your invitation one of these free weekends.

Jepot: AAVP7A1? Cool. But wait a minute... replacing the .50-cal with a 7.62?!?!? WHAT THE...!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At least change it to an FN MAG and not an M60, if they don't want the .50-calibre.

Ok, I see that replacing the M2 with a smaller machine gun would mean greater rate of fire and lots more of ammo (which is somewhat negated by the greater rate of fire), but .50-cal has lots of OOOMPH. Sorry, I'm a weeee bit biased with the .50 as you can see hehehehe

Wanze: Welcome to our weeeeeeee little Phorum! I hope you feel at home here. :-)

BTW, at the Scratchbuilders Forum, in case you guys at IPMS haven't noticed, one of the "furriners" checked out the IPMS-Phils (BAC) link and posted your 1:1 scratchbuilt M3 in the forum. I think they like it.

Fritz: Is that the BlackHawk?

Prepare to be disoriented hehe #:-)

Actually tedious talaga ang upload kasi isa-isa lalo na kung mabagal connection mo. One option would be to zip those pics and send them to me at ako na upload

To get back here from the gallery click on the "Armorama" link above the gallery tapos navigate ka na uli sa forums. Wala kasing direct link from there to here.

BTW, posted your pics on the Armor Forum. Baka may makakita at magdodonate ng armor hehe.

Welcome Wanze!

GIBeregovoy: That Stuart was built by Webster (Scratchbuilder Supremo), the same guy who built the 1/48 Albatross & many others. And I can't even put together a Tamiya! Ughh!

Jeepney: It's a pity we'll miss you this Sunday. On second thought, Ateneo's not that far from UP. Maybe you can sneak out for a few minutes? No... hours? B-D

Jeep and Bliz,

Thanks for the warm welcome!

Jeep,

Yup, the days will pass by very quickly and the next thing you know you're at the church. At least, you did not have to contend with a US State visit and we got married at San Sebastian. At least, I got to see several blackhawk gunships circling the vicinity while waiting for the bride.

Jeep,

Almost forgot....if you need any last minute supplier help for your wedding, I would be glad to help out. We got a pretty decent limo service for under 4K.

Kewl! Thanks for the offer! If I had my way I want our limo to be a V300 instead of the MB E220 that came with the hotel package

GET HIM BOYS!!!

Hey liebgott! Long time lurker finally came in. Feel free to explore!
Posted: Tuesday, December 02, 2003 - 07:11 PM UTC
Leibgott: Happy to see you here brother. Sniper? Who's that? And thanks for the kind words. Basta para kay Bert at sa Club, no problem. Oh, and regarding Fritz, he's 14 years old, as he likes to inform everyone. Isn't it strange that when you're that age you want to be older but when you reach my age you try to be younger?

Jeepney: Really, Jeep, if you can sneak out, why not? When your fiancee comes looking we'll all deny we saw you.

Hunter

Hey Liebgott!

Thanks for the address and suggestion. I heard from Nathalie that they also offer seminars on using the stuff, is this right?
