I thought it would be interesting to see what each of us has in their Stash. This is my Stash and wonder what you all have hidden in a Closet or Basement. So who's next.....Chers Mark

Stash?

Too darn'd much!

Tracks and wheels all and mostly pre-1946 Axis. Mostly Dragon and Tristar, some Bronco, AFV Club, Tasca, Italeri and Tamiya - and a couple of eastern-Euro kits. Enough for two or 3 centuries, rate I build.

Too much, and still not enough.
Mainly british mil. kits in 1/72 and 1/35 with a few 1/24-5.

Quick count, all 1/35th--- 110 sets of figures, 17 single figures and about 52 models kits, god knows what for A.M and acc. And in the I haven't finished yet cabinet, 11 small dio's, 1 large dio, 2 large figures, 13 vehicals and 1 helo. Not enough either. But to be honest, many unbuilt kits are for dio's when I have to retire. Probably wont be able to afford or find them then, oil goes up = models go up.

Oh, that's easy:

- King Tiger (s.Pz.Abt. 505)
- SA-2 Guideline Missile on Transport Trailer
- USS Laffey

The SA-2 kit is for sale or trade if anyone's interested.

My buddy ,and fellow modeler, will be building most of my stash. Reason being, there are so many that I will never finish them in my lifetime. Am leaving them to him , since nobody in my family does them..........................Al

Waaay too many to ever realistically build, unfortunately. I rent a 10' x 10' locker just to keep in them, I would guess probably about 800 armour kits, 50 or so aircraft, about 60 cars and trucks, and a handful of boats, perhaps 1500 figures....it's crazy! I also have a pallet of die cast from the 60's to present. Now my $ are going to savings for the future. Who knows maybe my kid will get into modelling when I get around to having one, ha ha!

About 70 armor kits ... all WW2 except for the old Tamiya Duster. About 100 figure kits and maybe 40 resin figures. About 150 different resin, etch, metal, etc AM sets. Ive also about 400 military books.
Lots of nice stuff, but if I keep buying, IŽll have to start selling.

At least 14 of the above kits will be used in upcoming campaigns and then my birthday is this saturday and fathers day is around the corner so there may be more still to come

This is 95% of what is in my "stash". I still have a few kits that are not seen here and have (of course) added a few more recently. Mostly modern armour a mix of US, Israeli and some UK/NATO stuff. What is not seen is the Sci Fi stuff, Gundam and Macross that I have had for many years (since I was a kid). The few Tractor Trailer kits will be put into service as Tank Transporters in the future, with some scratched trailers (hopefully). Cheers.

I have been meaning to organize them for the last several months, so this is an great excuse to take them out of the closet and snap a shot...111 total, mostly 1/35 WWII armor and 1/48 modern jets. Some 1/32 planes and a couple ships mixed in as well. I seem to buy two for every one I build so this pile is not getting any smaller, but I love collecting as much as I love building.

Hello All,
In the past 18 months I have bought out 4 large hobbymodeling stores and 6 small ones. I have also bought out 6 bookstores that specialize in Military History.
I own 100 units "100 by 250 sq feet" of climate control units that have my stash in it. I have been paying a group of collage kids to do an inventory and up load what i have in my computer systems so I can know what I have.
Here is what I know what I have so far:
Over 60,000 AFV's, 40,000 APC of all types, 35,000 Artillery units(both pulled ans self prop), 65,000 Ships( both Naval and Sci-Fi), 11,000 Trucks/Cargo carriers/ not sure what it is, 80,000 Figures( Both resin and Plastic) Over 250,000 jars of paint, 125 Airbrushes, 59 compressor's.
That is what they have found in 65 of the units.
At my Library at home that was just finished and has over 250,000 sq. feet per level (it has 3) I have over 750,000 books on modeling, Military History, Unit Histories, supply and shipping manifests from WW2/Korea/Vietnam/1st Gulf war. I am looking for unit histiories on WW1 from all sides of the war.
for the map room. I have maps showing units down to battilions in the above named wars and am still looking for shipping design blueprints from all sides of the wars for Aircraft, Naval Ships, Cargo Ships, Fortifications (like the French forts before WW! and the line the French line built during 1930's) and so forth.
So that is some of my stock. I guess I will be giving alot of them away to the troops overseas whaen I get a full list some time this fall.
Cheers,
Bruce
P.S.
My Lawyer just told me of a hobby shop closing and did I wish to bid on it.

Hello Sal,
Not till the inventory is done. Hopefully it will be done by this winter if I stop buying stores.
Have a good weekend,
Cheers,

Bruce,
You looking for a roomate/modelling partner? I'ld sure like to volunteer! Seriously though......with that kind of "stash" you ought to open your own store or on line store.

I'm relatively new to serious modeling and have a nagging wife, so my stash is kept lean.
