....The thing with the stash is to view it the other way round. You don't trim the stash to "what you'll build in a lifetime" - instead, you just have to accept that you're not ALLOWED to die until you've built them all!.....
Tom
That's definatly a good view, Tom. But what with these old guys aged 75 or older and still have 1000 or more to build, with 2 per year getting finished ....
Well my stash consists of more than 400 kits I guess, 98% of it aircraft (mainly WW2) in 1/48 and 1/32, some 1/48 armor and 1 (in words one) 1/35 kit, the Leopard 2 A4 from Hobbyboss ....
Hmmm .... 2$ per gallon .... that's cheap! Here I pay around 1.50 Euro per
liter Diesel which is around 1,90$ for 1/4 gallon .... Lucky guys!

I had the bright idea years ago of taking most of my smaller kits (think Tamiya Wespe sized and smaller) and dumping the boxes to store them more compactly in cardboard banker's boxes. That way it never 'looks' like the stash is getting out of control!
I think I have about 60 or so kits, mostly 1/35 armor with a sprinkling of 1/48 wings and a few 1/350 ships. Added to that probably around 100 figure/ figure sets of various ilks. So I figure I have about a ten year supply if things go south in a hurry!

Well my stash has been cleaved after a forced move which also brought about a down size so I have a stash in long term non accessible storage and this my accessible stash.
Plus a archive box of mainly resin and PE AM sets and three A4 ring binders of 1/48th decals and one ring binder of 1/144 decals
On the bench...

Wow... I thought I was "bad". If my wife ever gets mad at me for bringing a model in. I'll just refer her to this page. I have nothing on your guys. I'm just an amateur.

first you register, then you are able to "add" kits to you stash, cataloging them.First make a Stash List like "Anthony's Stash" then you add the kits.
The site just started,so not all kits are in it's data base yet, mostly armor, but they add stuff all the time.

Some very impressive stashes here! Here's mine:
The goal is that it always has to fit on that one shelf. At my average build speed of 6 per year I have enough for the next 10 or 12 years...
Cheers!

Anybody want to add to their stash ? A while ago this thread caused me to inventory my stash. I have over 200 kits, mostly German WWII armor, some 1/48th planes.
Soon I will start posting kits for sale, 25 kits at a time.
What ever doesn't sell will be donated to the local VA hospital.
So if there is anything you are looking for PM me I might be able to help you out.
Tom

One of the serious problems in planning against Canadian doctrine is that the Canadians do not read their manuals, nor do they feel any obligations to follow their doctrine.
