When you are stretching a piece of sprue to make an antenna with and you think that the smell of melted styrene mixed with the smell of Model Master glue and Tamiya paint would make a nice aftershave scent.

When one has more un-built kits than built....
When one has more kits that can be displayed on the amount of available shelf space...
When one purchases a cool looking tank model, then has to get other kits from that same campaign/timeframe to go with it...
When one has to get some more figures to go with the tank model...
When one also gets the aircraft to go with the tanks from a campaigh/timeframe...
When one has decal sets that would look good on the same type of tank - get another of the same tank model...
When one has a conversion kit to re-do three different tanks - get those tanks and convert them...
When one has to get more shelves to display those un-built kits...
Just name a few...
And I enjoy it so very much.

when you dream that you have won the lottery and the first thing you think of is the huge house you could build just to have for modeling... (and all the tools needed to make your own injection molded kits...)
