Many thx Kenc', aka, the 'Link Meister'. I just LOVE that movie!! There are so many parts, I can't decide on one to qoute.....but here's a shot.

The opening,(and I haven't veiwed it in quite awhile) where Clint Eastwood is sittting in the jeep undergoing(I believe) a german checkpoint, all the while the german doesn't realize he's American! Just really good stuff! Or the 'Good, the Bad, and the Ugly' scene towards the end..."good stuff Maynard!" Hey, anyone remember, or know the reference of the 'Maynard' remark? Come on, ya gotta be at least 40 to remember (sans reruns)...hehe.

I used to own the CD from the band that did the opening and closing song: "Burning Bridges" ; The Mike Curb Congregation. Here's the soundtrack Tread:

It can be had here:

Silly memory...there was this nut-job in my class at Armor School who named his tank "Oddball". I met him at ROTC camp the previous year when he was supposed to be a sniper against my platoon...me and another cadet took him POW (and our observer NCO let us "interrorgate" him...hahaha) He then went and took money left over from the class guidon fund to make his own personal "Oddball" pennant for his tank. This act hacked off the ENTIRE class, as well as the range instructors.
As it turns out, the pennant "disappeared" before shooting Tank Table VIII. This guy went berzerk looking for it. Then he was told to observe the firing tank, which I was the loader on. We taped the stupid rag onto the tip of a HEAT round...The rag was never seen again.
Sic semper morons.

I also have K.H in my library. One of my all time Fav's. I like the whole movie too, But then I like the part toward the end where they are in the city and Odd-Ball is sitting there drinking wine and goofing off because his Tank is also broke down, And goes Woof-Woof,
or the part where Crap Game tells Big Joe to MAKE A DEAL with the Kraut. So Yeah if I ever separate myself from any of my movies in my extensive collection. Kelly's Heroes will NOT be one of them.

...On DVD! Recent experience tells me that at least 90% of Army officers own this movie, and most of them have sampled parts of the audio onto their laptops/computers! I wonder if anyone ever dreamed that this movie would be so popular so many years after it was released?

Ahhh Kellys Hero's..... One of my all time favorites. My favorite part is when the good ol' country boys get the outhouse blown up on them and crapgame makes the comment about it making them homesick and them replying "Yeah it does huh?" and the paint rounds into the rear of the Tiger....Definatley a movie to own.
