B.;

That parasol is just FANTASTIC!

My first (and poorly-requitted) modelling love was the WWI-era aeroplane- I built many Airfix and Revell 1/72 pieces back 40 or so years ago. Nothing looked like yours, but the genre has always been close to my heart!

I dreamed of framing some up (as you have) and covering them with tissue. Tried it once... Argh!

You, on the other hand, appear to have succeeded! I love it!

Bleedin hell B Limp

That model wing warp too does it?????? How in hell's name did you get all that detail into that tiny size. I struggle to get anything like a bolt size in 1/24 and you have a full cross section of ww1 bag of linen, wood n string.

Wow is all I can say.

My scratchbuilds ongoing include

Both in 1/24

Hi all!

First! That Parasol is looking GOOD! I need to be miniaturized to be able to work with something that small! And even then I think I would have a whole lot of trouble making my model look that good! Respect!

Second. My scratchbouild this year (only one), is the Freeman's ride. It started as a 1969 dodge charger, and then my plasiccutting tools got to it.

And I made a discovery! I like to make rust!

A whole lot of swearing and cutting and glueing and painting and weathering later:

Hi, my name is Peter and although I'm new to this forum I've been making models since almost 20 years. Please have a look at some of my scratch builds I made this year:

Hi Peter

That is amazing detail at large and small scales. Are the 1/72 Harleys a home made resin kit you have put together?

Love the framework

Hi Nige!

Yes, I've sculpted the masters myself and casted it in resin. Now thanks to silicone forms I can build all Harley versions that operated in WWII. At the moment I'm building a Lend-Lease version with mortar mounted to the sidecar:

It's the first time I did resin castings of my 1:72 project. I wish I had done the same with my other 1:72 motorbikes...

Those have the attention to detail of 1/35 and above.

Fantastic
