Anyone else here have other ways to express their creativity? I love to build models, but when I get smacked upside the head with "modeler's block", I revert to drawing sketches and pictures... I will post a few pics of them shortly... everyone feel free to post them here... :-) (++)

Hi gunnerk19, good topic, I used to try writing song lyrics but after I found this site I seem to spend my spare time either here looking at the posts on the forums, or actually glueing and painting plastic.

I also sometimes write poetry and song lyrics. But since finding Armorama I have suffered less modeler's block.

I go to a local rock and roll club that has live bands, and take pictures. The bands like em for their websites,I need live music,so I get to get away and yet remain creative.

I think.

I play guitar, and build webpages when I suffer from "modeler's block"...but when I feel the need most, but creativity is lacking...I surf ARMORAMA!!

When I'm not building, I design and program computer games.

When I don't build models I usually play video games. Hey twisted, perhaps I played some of your games, ha? Other than that I also play street hockey and paintball. I know, not very artistic but it keeps me sane.

Hi. Other than baby-sitting my grand-daughter for 5 days a week and modeling on and one and off basis, I like to work counted cross stitch pictures (hey, I'm an old man), piddle around the house at things that need done, read military history, play with our 3 cats and other little odd things like that.

I also find time to argue with some of the nut cases on the history channel site too. Ha, ha!.

Take care, sgirty

I work a couple of jobs and go to school...all of which REQUIRE modelling to keep me sane. Oh, the stories I could tell. But, whenever I don't feel like modelling, I resort to playing paintball, playing the guitar, and practicing one of several martial arts.

I used to paint and draw. Now I just change modeling genres - if dioramas aren't 'doing it' for me, I pick up a figure or an AC.

I either switch genres or work on the IDF armour groups web site and my own site.

I don't get out much, but I do enjoy working around the property. My web site keeps me busy when I'm not modeling.

Ok, finally found a few of mine... Yeah, I know they aren't finished, but then again are modelers ever really finished with anything? #:-)

Play some good old heavy metal (Ratt, Motley Crue and Def Leppard) on my electric guitar. A great energy booster. Inspires me.

I like to take photographs of almost anything when I'm not modeling. I don't know what it's like elsewhere, but since I'm a 11-18 teacher, I tend to get bogged down by administrative tasks when I'm not teaching, this including week day evenings and weekends too. I find myself more and more lately, picking up a large pile of files from school, sighing about the amount of work I have to do, then quickly dumping them when she goes downstairs and carrying on with my latest modeling project! Hope she doesn't read this!

I usually go bicycling, or work on my guitars. (Playing or building) Sometimes, I end up running slotcars for a while, until I get back in the mood for modelbuilding. I usually alternate back and forth between building guitars and models, so if I am stumped on models, I carve and scrape for a while. When I am at an impasse with a guitar, I putty, glue and paint for a bit.

If I am not working or building a model or dio, I am usually immersed in a huge baseball card collection, buying, selling or trading cards....sigh...so much to do, so little time!
