Just a small offering...don't forget the old 1966 classic "The Sand Pebbles" starring Steve McQueen crewing the U.S. gun ship San Pablo on the Yangze River in 1926 China.

also the 2002 Italian film "El Alamein: In the Line of Fire" another excellent film.
