I added links to my 5 choices, so people will know what they are, but I guess a little too late for you, Kelly.
Sure, give painting a fig a try - the choices are positively endless.

I think my choice would be for Penny the F4U-1D . It's one of my favorite aircraft from WW2 and for Kelly it will be the F,MA !A58A Pucara. She has neet collection of very interesting aircraft and I enjoy seeing what she has done for her latest build

Terrific idea at letting the other members choose your project

We should definitely have more of these sorts of
fun campaigns/groupbuilds

Here are my choices (not too scientificly chosen or with knowledge of your previous builds I'm afraid - just really kits i'd like to see built

):
Penny: 1/48 Hasegawa Ju-87B-2 Stuka
Kelly: Dragon Flakpanzer Kugelblitz 1/35
Terri: Morane-Saulnier Type N , Eduards
Wendy: Seil Last Crusader (7th-8th Crusades), 54mm (Great to see the figure modellers represented!

)

That is a really nice figure. It's not too bad if you're used to painting small things already. Tom Meier sculpts are spot on, both in quality and scale. Properly diluted paint is crucial. Give it a try - the worst that can happen is you strip it and start over.

Besides, the price - less than $10 for a mounted and foot figure - can't be beat. The service is great too.
I plan on suggesting a Minimize II campaign (which is simply paint a mini 40mm scale or smaller), so you could paint it for that.

Hello Ladies,
Well, here are my picks. Not very original, I'm afraid, as Gunny's taste and mine must be pretty similar, but here goes:
Penny: 1/48 Ju-87B-2 Stuka (a really nice kit, and haven't seen one built in awhile)
Kelly: USS Montrose (I'm starting to do a few naval projects myself, and I'd love to see
more ship-building here)
Terri: The Morane-Saulnier. (a beautiful little kit, one of my favorites)
Wendy: Last Crusader (what an awesome figure, and looks to be a real challange)
Pam: Gavia 1/48 La-7 (a difficult choice, you have some interesting kits there)
Those are my choices. Good luck on your builds, ladies. I'll be watching with interest.
Cheers,
Mike

After this event of course. Hummm I have not counted the votes guess I should and see how that is going.

So far it's
1. Stuka
2. F4U-1D

The detail is indeed amazing. Tom Meier sculpts with a dissecting microscope to get that kind of detail. I'm guessing the Minimize II campaign will be starting in late fall/early winter, if you want to hold off for it. (Just a note, when you prime it be very careful to go light - it's really easy to cover up the details.)
Anyway, I don't know many other ladies who do modeling and such, but I'll see if I can send some this way.
And it seems the Seil Crusader is leading by the slimmest of margins.
It might help to mention I almost never paint something exactly like the boxart. Sometimes I turn a figure into something different.

Just to be clear, is the voting on which kit for the lady to build, paint, etc. open to everyone? I was thinking of posting a poll with my five options in the Historicus Forma specific area, but wanted to make sure it was ok . I don't know if there are any other ladies who read Historicus Forma posts only, but it's one way of spreading the word about the campaign.
