Scandinavian Death Metal.
Entombed et al.
Paradise Lost
Slayer (although my neck won't take it much anymore.. age gets us all in the end..)
Sepultura (pre tribal one-up man ship)
Gorgoroth
Amon Amarth
Vader
So much more, I could fill the page. If it's loud, and real, chance is I like it. If it is a commercial cash in, we will deal with you at the appropriate time...
Oh, and early Metallica was good, but talk about losing the plot...

My favourite metal bands:
METALLICA!
IRON MAIDEN!
Although not metal, I like the old R H C Peppers songs! Flea on the Bass kicks Butt!!! Not so much their newest stuff. Furthermore Urban Dance Squad (=Dutch, but well known everywhere else), the pioneers of Rock and Rap.

For pure metal it make it MAIDEN for me.
favourite metal track ever though is In the Meantime by Helmet.
Can't believe people are admitting to liking Dio!
Our priest has three loves in his life. Jesus, Celtic FC, and Judas Priest.
He is a very complex fellow indeed.
