I don't know why I always do that! I click on the thumb to enlarge it, then right click to bring up 'Properties', highlight the Location, right click to 'Copy', then highlight the text between the 'image' markers, then right click again to 'paste'........is that right?

About to start on VP's 120mm M113, and convert it to the Australian version. Including the int and crew. Hope to have it looking somewhat like the first carrier I crewed.

When I get round to building the Eduard Me 410, I plan to add two jet engines under the cockpit to convert it to one of the development aircraft of the Luftwaffe.
Not really a scratch build, but we all say that until we start...
Cheers

It's not nearly as sexy or as much fun as what everyone else is doing, but I am building a giant trebuchet completely from scratch for the "Incoming!" campaign... Link to my latest progress is below...

Hi guys,
I'm scratchbuilding a 1/16th scale T-55A. Here are some pics of it. If you see any errors in it please let me know so I can make the corrections before I start painting it.
The first turret I made(right) did'nt come out right, so I made a casting of it and corrected it (left).

Most of the model is almost done, here are the parts next to a Tamiya 35th scale model
The machined roadwheel in peices. The details still not yet added in this pic.
Here is the original model.
And I made castings of every thing. Here it is assembled next to a Tamiya kit
I have not yet started on the interior, but I did start on the engine, I still need to add the details to the engine.
Please let me know if you see anything that you don't think is correct.
Best.

Tatal,
That is beautiful work. Just gorgeous.
I have been a machinist for 30 years, have a shop at home, produce patterns for the scale model industry and of course make goodies for my own projects. I understand completely what has been accomplished here. This truly is awesome model building. I hope the others appreciate the amount of effort your model represents.
This great model should be an inspiration to others - it is to me..
Thank you for sharing this magnificent project,
Cody Grayland

Thank you Stahlhelm
It's very easy to scratchbuild, it's not as complex as some modelers think, it just takes pratice. :-)
Best regards and happy modeling

HO-LEE SMOKES, Tatal. That is really something! I'm afraid my familiarity with the T-55 is only passing, so I really can't offer any insight. I can, however, comment that you are making a work of art. Thanks for sharing, and don't forget to keep us updated.
I suggest a new topic on the RRB or armor boards, with a title reflecting the fact that a 1/16 scratchbuilt t-55 is being displayed in progress. I wouldn't want the other members to miss this one.

I am scratchbuilding a German Armored Locomotive BR93 Type 141. It is all plastic card and wire. It has been quite an endeavor. I don't think I have ever had so much fun building a model. I will post some pictures shortly. What would make me take on such a project?? The lack of any 1/35 locomotives on the market at a reasonable price!! :-)

Hi boosahmer
You are absolutley correct, I have been trying to convince modelers for long time that scrtachbuilding in more fun than just building a kit.
Looking forward to see pics of your model
Best regards and happy scratchbuilding.

Well, I took the frame and front suspension from a M 21 Halftrack, and every now and then dip into my spares box, and hopefully the finished product will be a 4X4, Chevy 454 powered, dual .50 cal bristling armored guntruck. I took the rear driver differential and made it into the rear end, totally scratched the rear suspension, used a Chevy 350 from a 1/25th model, and that's where it stands. Hopefully it will be in the T2KIV campaign if it commes along O.K.

Weelll,
Currently on the Bench:
In fisted bouts of Plastic Panda_Moan_Ium and rages of AMS. Im converting the Italeri Sherman to an Israeli Trailblazer ARV, and an Academy M113 to a Canadian M113 SEV
from Kosovo. Shiryon's pics are of GREAT use for the Sherman, but Im having some
setbacks on the Canadian SEV. Both projects were to be for AMPS 04', but as you can see
that wont be HAPPENING. Soooo, they'll be added to the collection in the future.
