OK so here is my update. Unfortunately I don't get to spend much time for my hobby or anything closely related. So it will not be a fast one as usual.
So far all the cabinets are in place and the next step is to install the work platform.
as usual I could not acomplish this without a skillful hand of my little helper...

Looks like you have a good start on the project!!

Some really nice projects ongoing here.
Just a quick photo of my first two entries, I got tired of sawing on any old place and built a small Bench Hook.
It was completed a bit back as was the quick extractor I built to remove paint fumes. Both are quick builds, done to rectify a problem rather than planned, but do their job well.
There are two other minor entries that need photographing, nothing as spectacular as a new workbench or work area.

Here is a project I finished a while ago but I thought it was relevant. Since I don't have a dedicated work area, I built this portable station. It's a pain to lug around, but it beats putting everything away when I need the space back.
The fan in the lower left corner of the main section has a vent hose that I route out the window. This cuts down on brain damage from the fumes

I have an Idea for a tool for somebody to build a set of 1/35 scale Leaf punches like the kind they sell at Scrap book stores.

Jeff, get "crackin'!!" I'd love to see your version of this. One gentleman (here or there - I honesly can't recall) took different sizes (diameter) of copper tubing, filed them down a tad to create an edge, then bent the end in a couple of different spots. His next step was to take a reasonably dried leaf, place the "sharpened" edge over a spot in the leaf that had a vein in it, and then tapped the die. What was produced was a leaf that "appeared" to have it's viens in it. Time consuming? Perhaps. Authentic? OH YEA!

Sorry Mike but you are the retired guy.
Me no time I do have a set of them in about 1/16 scale that I bought from a scrapbook store many years ago.
I asked and nobody could do them smaller.
Bummer.
Sorry.

Heheheh, and me pullin' down 10 to 11 hour days.
I really wish I could recall who did the "leaf cutter." Mmmmm....maybe dig around...find him...have him (if it hasn't already been done) do a "how to."

I bought my materials last weekend and hope to build my tool this week and use it. Well, I really do need to use it on a current build.
So, with any luck I will have a new tool this weekend to play with. And you can have some pictures to look at Monday.
(But with my luck as of late, who knows)

I followed the link to the campaign entry but could not find anywhere to "sign-up"........
I would like to enter my on-going workbench build posted here:
https://aeroscale.kitmaker.net/forums/125884
and an air compressor noise reducer, headache releiver, SWMBO de-nagger, cat and dog calmer, no more jumping and messing up fine details cranker.....box. Before, SWMBO would nag me about the noise echoing in the house, the dog used to jump about 2 feet in the air when it cranked and kept howling at the thing until it quieted down....which would lead into my headaches......then the motor would start up suddenly and I would get startled, messing up some fine spraying......So needless to say, its was a great addition.
See "How to" here: https://aeroscale.kitmaker.net/forums/126971
Cheers, Mike

I am not involved in this one due to time restrictions, however, I had an idea (if someone wants to build it) to build a miniature media blaster for use in paint chipping and such. Im thinking you could take an old air brush and modify the needle so you have a big hole in the tip and blast salt from a cup to chip paint. I am guessing youd have to experiment with air pressure from your compressor to get it right. I will mess with this one day.........when I am done working on my house that is! LOL

So, what do you think of a feature of the tools presented here.... Instead of sifting through a thread I could pick and peal out information on all these tools into a feature so it stays permanent.
I'll build a feature out of build a tool....
Good - Bad???

Scott, Matt,
I think it would be a good idea for a feature....show a picture of the "final" product, with a brief description, and a link to the "how to build it" thread.

Oh yea Matt - both campaigns and yes a combo OD and brief description of the tool.
I guess that makes three of us 'for it' so now I've got to 'get to it'.

Scott,
We do an end of campaign feature at MSW. So far everyone seems to like them very much. Also having these as a feature would be nice.

I would also like to join in the fun of Build a Tool II. I will be building a spray booth over the next few days. My goal is for it to be cheaper than something available commercially, aesthetically pleasing, and most importantly completely safe. Do I need to sign up some where or is announcing my intentions good enough? Thanks!

Hey Matt, did you build anything neat today? I'm going to have to wait until Saturday morning to get going on my booth.
Cheers,
