RSAF F-16s are all painted in the old 3-tone grey scheme.

FS36118 (Gunship grey) and FS36270 (Medium ghost grey) topside with FS36375 (Light ghost grey) underside. All under-wing pylons are light ghost grey. Wingtip rails are medium ghost grey.

Here's a tip for the radome colour. They vary depending on how old and how much the plane is used. Older ones are a medium grey colour. As it gets more worn, the radome turns darker. I normally mix gunship grey and medium ghost grey 50/50 to get the nose colour.

Hope that helps!

I cant get a medium ghost grey at the shop, but i got medium grey.

Hmmm... You might not get the desired results as ghost greys tend to have a tinge of blue in it. The medium grey you got may not blend well with the rest of the paint.

I'm thinking of getting some Quickboost seats. Anyone else wants to mass order?

Website here: http://www.quickboost.net

If you see anything you like, just let me know and I'll try to coordinate a mass order to save on shipping.

The amounts listed are in Euros. So the F-16 ACES II is essentially S$9 per seat. After shipping, S$12 per seat.

Anybody else wants? The more we order, the less we pay for shipping.

Hmm the website also calculates for you the total costs right, so at the end of it do you pay ard the same amount converted into SGD?

I previously bought the Quickboost and Legend F-15E ejection seats for comparison. After piecing the stuff together, I find that the Quickboost seats beat Legend because they are more finely detailed.

Also, the Legend seats are more brittle and some parts were not really molded well so some parts of the seatbelts look like they were eaten by caterpillars.

So the better seat is Quickboost. The probable reason is that Quickboost is part of Aires.

I would like to place the order as soon as possible. Hopefully by next weekend. Have a Hasegawa D in the works and will need the seats before the Airfix Cup.

Nope... But if it does come to Singapore, Miniature Hobby will probably be the first to stock it.

Guys, when u spray onto clear parts, do u spray on the "back" side?
I cant seem to get it right when spraying head on.... The paint seems matt instead of showing clear...

If you are talking about the canopy, i think you are suppose to mask it. Look at Madcat projects, the whole bubble canopy are masked. I m not sure about spraying the canopy though, cos with experience, the clear canopy will turn "dirty" if i spray clear matt or gloss.

You could try hand-brushing on the inside of the part. This will ensure that the outside will be clear and glossy. A dip in future (if you can find a bottle) might also do the trick.

In terms of payment? You pay the amt shown and no additional costs?

Just take their item price and add it to the shipping price and that's it. The good thing is that their Wolfpack stuff has free shipping.

Sometimes they have clearance sales so you can watch out for those.
