Don't worry guys, I'm still here.

Well, I'm currently working on a couple of pieces for the upcoming Airfix Cup. Submissions are coing up next Monday and I'm trying to add the finishing touches to the 3 pieces which I will be sending.

First up, 1/32 Academy F-16C Block 52 of the Republic of Singapore Air Force's 140 Squadron "Ospreys" based at Tengah Air Base. It isn't quite complete yet. Still have to touch up some more.

Next is another Viper. 1/48 Hasegawa F-16A Block 15 "Netz" of the Cheil Ha'avir's Tayeset 140 "Golden Eagle (Nesher Ha' Zahav)" based at Nevatim Air Base. As with the previous Viper, this one is still in the works. Ordanance left.

And finally, this F-14A Tomcat of VF-84 Jolly Rogers diorama. This was built during the Aeroscale Bye Bye, Baby group build a few months back. I'm touching up this one with more weathering for the plane and correcting the colours of the jerseys that the deck crew are wearing. These are old photos.

Well, that's it for now. Soon to be on the workbench are a Hobbyboss F/A-18A Hornet, AFV Club IDF Shot Centurion and a whole host of other half-built kits.

Dude,
I think i know who you are...The osprey rings a bell. Sure wished it could fly, cos it would look good in the air, and it doesnt really gonna cost a bomb to put it in the air.

PS: I can buy you a doughnut to talk more dude.

Well, I don't think you could get an engine into this small scale 1/32 model. What about this 1/8 one? HERE

No need engine bro, those are from Tamjets i think, might need real turbine engines. But for small scale and small budget like us this will do lah.
Electric Brushless motor as a "pusher"

S$ 54.10 get a spare fuselage in case u crash...but super fast man..i myself no confident to fly.
THis is done by a fellow local RC pilot here, cos he s crazy about black knights

If you die die want a propulsion alla jet...
then this lah Ducted Fan type...not fast just sound like a jet..

Larger and cost more lah. I think less than $200.
Not drawing lines in the forum bro, just trying to change the misconception of RC world. ANything to spread the hobby.
If you like F-14 also have dude, even witch on a broomstick also have, and i m not kidding.

Hi guys, new here. Nice to know that there are still active modellers out there... I used to build models just to past time but now as I make more, I'm beginning to love this hobby more. Just bought a airbrush and compressor set and decided to make my model more "PRO" a bit. But diffcult leh... think I'll be here often asking tons of questions.. By the way, I build F-16s mostly and I must say Mark's build looks good.

Well, here comes the first question, how do u guys make your decals look like part of the paint job? I tried spraying a clear coat after applying the decals but sh*t happen... the paint job turns milky and eventually white when it dries... By the way, the paint I'm using are from MR HOBBY...

Hi Amos, welcome back to the hobby.

There are several reasons why clear coats can turn milky.
1. high humidity in the atmosphere when you sprayed, e.g. rainy day
2. insufficient thinner, i.e. too thick
3. overly thick coat. Try spraying multiple thin coats, letting each layer dry for > 30 minutes.

For decals, surface preparation is very important.

If you're in Singapore, drop by M Workshop at Sunshine Plaza tomorrow 30 Dec.
There is a gathering and display of model jets from 3pm-6pm.
F-14/15/16/18 ( called a 'teens Group Build)

You can bring down your F-16 and ask the more experienced guys there. Better than reading any article IMO.
I'll be there, ask for Viper.

Hi guys
Since you guys are chatting, can somebody tell me where can I purchase a compressor & airbrush back in Sgp. Nothing too big or heavy as I got to bring it back to Tanzania.
My decades old badger has conked out at last & my Tamiya's one is not meant for fine spraying. It is only good for overall coverage. I should be home for a few days in Jan '08
Thks &
