I have a model of an European Well. pretty easy to scratchbuilt. If you want I can send you some drawings of it with the sizes on it.

The well I`m going to E-mail drawings to you is a French Waterwell that is often be found on Farmsteads
It`s a round well with a wooden frame on top of it where the cilinder hangs in to lift and lower the bucket into the well

Looking at Soccia's pictures, I must say they are pretty close to what can be seen in France. But to be honnest, I know close to nothing about waterwells !
Are you asking this for the splash campaign ? How are you going to make the water visible with your well ? Sorry, i'm just too curious...

Growning up in Poland I remember most wells being built with a wooden enclosure. I suppose this was done to keep things and/or people of falling in.

I've seen wells like these in France and Germany. The only ones I saw in Ialy were those giant ones with naked people statues in them........................buncha perverts
